Tyrus Wong's detention as a new immigrant
The immigration inspectors had these interrogations. And the goal of the inspectors was to trick a person to make a mistake so that you could just
automatically be deported. They asked you about your village
who lived next to you on your right-hand side, your left-hand, how many windows you had in the house. What about your village? Did they have a fish pond? Who lives in front of you? Who lives in back of you? And so forth. Really tricky questions, you know. Someone committed suicide - maybe something wrong with the papers, something like that. He killed himself. Very sad, I mean, the story. Very sad.
