Country music is a wondrously diverse body of music, and nowhere is that diversity more strongly expressed than in the music of Wisconsin. Bill Miller was born on a reservation in Shawano, Wisconsin as a member of the Stockbridge-Munsee tribe. Throughout his career, he has performed both mainline country music and the music of his Native American heritage. As a Native American flute player and a guitar player and as a singer, he's won three Grammy Awards. His music is suffused with his passion for social justice, the love of his people's heritage, and his pride in being a Christian and an American.
