Rob Cohen - Simpsons
How did Milhouse become based on you? Or how did you help them find that character on The Simpsons? Um, The Simpsons was still starting out. They were animating it in Korea, and when they would send the designs to Korea, there was a language barrier. So they would send the characters back that looked like they'd all been electrocuted. And you can actually see them in the early episodes of The Simpsons. They're the drawings on the fridge in the Simpson's house, they would use those just as a joke. But so they needed to send photographs of people to say this guys should look like this. And so they took a photo of me one day, and I used to run around there in shorts, and I have a big nose and weird hair and glasses. And said this is Milhouse. So when the initial drawings came back, one of the writers there brought me into his office and he goes, I got a surprise for you. And he goes, this is you. And I went, okay. And, 'cause I knew I wasn't, it's not like they were gonna pay me for it. And then he pointed out which other Simpsons characters are real people. And that's how they fixed the issue in Korea.
