Professor Ken Byrnes chairman of the flight training department at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida discusses the multipilot crew license (MPL) used by many carriers to rapidly train new pilots to fly a single jet aircraft as a copilot. He contrasts this with traditional training in the United States where MPL is not authorized by the FAA.
