"Homegrown" plays
- I got a piece of land out in the countryside Lay back and smell the sun warm up the Georgia pine Feels so good to be taking it easy Why would I ever leave? We got a fire going down by the riverside Sip whiskey out the bottle, living like we'll never die Come on and stay a while if you don't believe me Why would I ever leave? Intro to "Family Table" plays
- It's just an old piece of wood On top of four legs It's got a few coffee stains And a thousand marks from "God knows when" Ain't too many things That could stand the test of time This family table's held together By love that never dies So, won't you come on in? Supper's almost done Go ahead and call your friends 'Cause we got room for everyone Let's make some memories 'round this 9-foot pine Pull up a chair and stay a while At the family table Family table It's the cornerstone That held us all up Through the best of times And we made our way when times got tough We blew the candles out In our walk through time This family table's bound together By love that never dies So, won't you come on in? Supper's almost done Go ahead and call your friends 'Cause we got room for everyone Let's make some memories 'round this 9-foot pine Pull up a chair, stay a while
Instrumental break
Gather 'round, hand in hand Close our eyes and bow our heads Thank the Lord for everything he's done And for everyone At the family table So, please come on in When your work is done Go ahead and wash your hands Come sit down with everyone Making memories 'round this 9-foot pine No other place could ease your mind Like the family table Family table Family table Family table

Intro plays
I hear the waves Sun beatin' down on my shoulders It's a near-perfect day Wishin' I wouldn't get any older They say that it's gone 'fore you know it, now Quiet your mind Soak it all in It's a game you can't win Enjoy the ride I feel the change Goin' on all around me It's strange How I'm taken and guided Where I End up right I'm needed to be - Quiet your - Quiet your - Quiet - Quiet your mind Soak it all in It's a game you can't win Enjoy the ride
Fiddle solo
At the end of the land There's a red sun risin' And the stars are all goin' away If you're too busy talkin' You're not busy listenin' To hear what the land has to say Quiet your mind I feel the waves Sun beatin' down on my shoulders It's a near-perfect day Wishin' I wouldn't get any older They say that it's gone 'fore you know it, now Soak it all in It's a game you can't win Enjoy the ride

Thank you. We take a lot of pride in being lifetime musicians and dedicating our lives to our craft and what we do. And we're very blessed to get to do what we love to do for a living and get to go out and perform and to play. And this is a song about that. It's called "The Day That I Die."
Intro plays
Early morning in a motel room Sunshine trying to creep on through Lost sleep, but I found a tune Stuck inside my head Cigarettes, a tank of gas Headed off to nowhere fast Gotta find a way to make this feeling last 'Cause I believe that I Was born with a song inside of me Never question why I just keep on chasing these melodies As time goes by It's funny how time Will make you realize We're running out of it On the day that I die I want to say that I Was a man who really lived and never compromised And when I've lived out my days Until the very end I hope they find me in my home A guitar in my hands I hope they find me in my home With my guitar in my hands Whoa-oh, whoa-oh - Whoa-oh-oh, oh-oh - The part of dawn to be ashamed of But good people are supposed to be up I found peace with this path I took As I lay down my head The crossroads you gotta choose Which way do we win or lose? Every bone in my soul says to sing on through 'Cause I believe that I Was born with a song inside of me Never question why I just keep on singing these melodies As time goes by It's funny how time Will make you realize We're running out of it On the day that I die I want to say that I Was a man who really lived and never compromised When I've lived out my days Until the very end I hope they find me in my home A guitar in my hands I hope they find me in my home With my guitar in my hands Whoa-oh, whoa-oh - Whoa-oh-oh, oh-oh - Whoa-oh, whoa-oh - Whoa-oh-oh, oh-oh - We all come We all go It's all over Before you know
Guitar solo
'Cause I believe that I Was born with these songs inside of me I never question why I just keep on singing these melodies As time goes by It's funny how time Will make you realize We're running out of it On the day that I die Day that I die - I want to say that I - Was a man who really loved and never compromised And when I've lived out my When I've lived out my days You can find me in my home A guitar in my hands And you can find me in my home With my guitar in my hands Whoa-oh, whoa-oh - Whoa-oh-oh, oh-oh - Whoa-oh, whoa-oh - Whoa-oh-oh, oh-oh

-Thank you. We set out on this new record to try to write the most personal record that we could possibly write. And this one, sometimes it gets me when I'm trying to get through it. Just trying to be... trying to be a dad and trying to be at home and needing to be gone when I'm home and needing to be home when I'm gone. And this one's called "2 Places."
Intro plays
I've seen the northern lights Paint the sky in shades of green I've seen the daisy's dress of white Laying on those mountain peaks And my heart Knows a way back home When the wind Sings that old familiar song 'Cause I've been all around the world Seen things that no one would believe Thought I was lookin' at a picture In some fancy magazine And out of everywhere I've been Oh, it kills me every time Maybe I'd be satisfied If I could be two places at one time Two places at one time I've seen the sun spin weeds of gold On those Oklahoma plains I've seen the moon a million times On those Santa Rosa waves And my heart Knows a way back home When the wind Sings that old familiar song 'Cause I've been all around the world Seen things that no one would believe Thought I was living in a movie On that giant silver screen And out of everywhere I've been Oh, it kills me every time If a man could just divide I could be two places at one time Two places at one time How can I keep what I got When I don't know what I'm missin'? Needing islands when I'm home Miss my family when I'm gone And I'm gone, gone, gone 'Cause I've been all around this world Lived things that no one would believe Never thought I'd move so many people That gave this life to me Out of everywhere I've been Oh, it kills me every time Maybe I'd be satisfied If a man could just divide I could be two places at one time Two places at one time Two places at one time

Intro to "Colder Weather" plays
She'd trade Colorado if he'd take her with him Closes the door before the winter lets the cold in And wonders if her love is strong enough to make him stay She's answered by the taillights Shining through the windowpane He said, "I want to see you again But I'm stuck in colder weather Maybe tomorrow will be better Can I call you then?" She said, "You're a ramblin' man And you ain't ever gonna change You got a gypsy soul to blame And you were born for leaving" At a truck-stop diner just outside of Lincoln The night is black as the coffee he was drinkin' And in the waitress' eyes He sees the same ol' light is shining He thinks of Colorado And the girl he left behind him He said, "I want to see you again But I'm stuck in colder weather Maybe tomorrow will be better Can I call you then?" She said, "You're a ramblin' man And you ain't ever gonna change You got a gypsy soul to blame And you were born for leaving" Born for leaving Well, it's a winding road When you're in the lost and found You're a lover, I'm a runner And we go 'round and 'round And I love you, but I leave you I don't want you, but I need you You know it's you that calls me back here, baby
Instrumental break
Whoa, I want to see you again But I'm stuck in colder weather Maybe tomorrow will be better Can I call you then? 'Cause I'm a ramblin' man - And I ain't ever gonna change - I ain't ever gonna change - I got a gypsy soul to blame - And I was born for leaving Born for leaving
Instrumental break
Cheers and applause
Music stops
And when I close my eyes, I see you No matter where I am I can smell your perfume through these whispering pines I'm with your ghost again It's a shame about the weather But I know soon we'll be together And I can't wait till then I can't wait till then

Intro to "Roots" plays
My first best friend was a six-string Took him with me everywhere I go When I was 18, bought a Dodge van Found a drummer and made the road my home Ooh, I wouldn't change a thing It made the man I am today My roots Always keep me grounded Roots Remind me where I'm from Even when I'm a thousand miles away from my roots I'm home Every Friday, you could find me At Dixie Tavern playing with my band We'd start the show with a round of whiskey And play our hearts out and wished it'd never end Ooh, I wouldn't change a thing It made the man I am today My roots Always keep me grounded Roots Remind me where I'm from Even when I'm a thousand miles away from my roots I'm home We'd get 'em singing "Don't Stop Believin'" Then follow up with a cold beer on a Friday night Always dreaming one day we'd play with All our heroes we cover every night Flying high, all our dreams came true You've given me wings And roots Always keep me grounded Roots Remind me where I'm from Even when I'm a thousand miles away from my roots I'm home My roots Always keep me grounded Roots Remind me where I'm from My roots Even when I'm a thousand miles away from my roots I'm home Don't give up Hold on a little longer What don't kill you Only makes you stronger Don't give up Hold on a little longer What don't kill you Only makes you stronger Don't give up Hold on a little longer - What don't kill you - Hold on a little longer - Only makes you stronger Don't give up Hold on a little longer What don't kill you Only makes you stronger - Don't give up Hold on a little longer What don't kill you Only gives you stronger roots

So, I grew up getting to see my dad every other weekend. And he's still one of my closest friends that I have. He's 82 this year -- He'll be in September, next month.
Cheers and applause
He's awesome, and I also had a lot of adopted parents. I had a lot of my friends' parents that kind of took me in, as well, growing up. And one of those is a fella named Mr. Rodney Shelton. And we've been what we call family for -- since I was about 16 years old. And he taught me how to make knives. He taught me a lot of different things along the way. But I gave him the nickname back then of "Old Man," and that's what everybody called him. And he passed away two years ago. And he had a back surgery that kind of went south. And he was a great man. And this song is for him, and it's for my dad, and for all the dads and the people that step in and are dads when they don't have to be, you know? And...
Cheers and applause
Intro to "My Old Man" plays
He was a giant When I was just a kid I was always trying To do everything he did I can still remember Every lesson he taught me Growing up Learning how to be Like my old man He was a lion We were our father's pride But I was defiant When he made me walk the line He knew how to lift me up And when to let me fall Looking back He always had a plan My old man My old man Feel the callus on his hands And dusty overalls My old man Now I finally understand I have a lot to learn From my old man And now I'm a giant I got a son of my own He's always trying To go everywhere I go I do the best I can To raise him up the right way Hoping that he someday wants to be Like his old man
Instrumental break
My old man I know one day we'll meet again As he's looking down My old man I hope he's proud of who I am I'm trying to fill the boots Of my old man My old man
Music ends, cheers and applause
Thank you.
Intro to "The Muse" plays
As I sit on the edge of this never-made bed Old guitar in my lap, a new tune in my head There she stands in the doorway Just brushing her hair It's my beautiful muse in her underwear And if I was thinking, I'd be thinking, "Thank God Whoever you are" For the muse and this old guitar It's times like these so sweet and so true Thinking's the last thing that you want to do As I sit on the edge of this dirty old bar Trying to work some things out, but not getting too far Trying to drown out the voices that are keeping me down There's a muse all alone on the other side of town And if I was thinking, I'd be thinking, "Thank God Whoever you are" For all the whiskey in this dirty old bar It's times like these so sad and so true Thinking's the last thing that you want to do Yeah, thinking's the last thing that you want to do
Audience cheering
As I sit on the bed in this hospital room Just shedding a tear for the bride and groom And the tiniest voice starts to bellow and cry It's my finest work yet if today I should die And if I was thinking, I'd be thinking, "Thank God" For the muse and the miracle right here in my arms It's times like these so sweet and so true Thinking's the last thing that you want to do Yeah, thinking's the last thing that you want to do Yeah, thinking's the last thing that you want to do
Music ends, cheers and applause
Intro to "All the Best" plays
I wish you love And happiness I guess I wish You all the best I wish you don't Do like I do And go and Fall in love with someone like you If you fell Oh, like I did You'd probably walk around the block like a little kid But a kid don't know He'd only guess How hard it is To wish you happiness Well, I guess love Is like a Christmas card You decorate a tree And throw it in the yard It decays and dies And the snowmen melt Well, I knew love I knew how love felt I knew love Oh, and love knew me When I walked around, love walked with me But I got no hate And I got no pride Well, I got So much love that I cannot hide So, you drive a Chevy So, you drive a Ford So, you drive around all night till you just get bored Then you change your mind For something else to do Then your heart changes your mind, and it changes you I wish you love And happiness I guess I wish You all the best I wish you don't Do like I do And go and Fall in love with someone like you 'Cause if you fell Oh, like I did You'd probably walk around the block like a little kid But a kid don't know He'd only guess How hard it is To wish you happiness How hard it is To wish you happiness

I dedicate this one to Mr. Gregg Allman. We lost a friend this year, but what a legend and what a mark he made on all of us.
Intro to "Whipping Post" plays
- I've been run down I've been lied to And I don't know why I let that mean woman make me out a fool, now She took all my money She wrecked my new car, yeah And now she's with one of my good-time buddies They're drinkin' in some crosstown bar Sometimes I feel Sometimes I feel Like I've been tied to the whipping post Tied to the whipping post Tied to the whipping post Good Lord, I feel like I'm dyin'
Guitar solo
My friends tell me That I've been such a fool And I had to stand there and take it, baby All for lovin' you Drown myself in sorrow 'Cause I looked at what you've done And nothing seemed to change The bad times stayed the same And I can't run Sometimes I feel Sometimes I feel Like I've been tied to the whipping post Tied to the whipping post Tied to the whipping post Good Lord, I feel like I'm dyin' Whoo!
Guitar solo
Well, sometimes I feel Oh, sometimes I feel Like I've been tied to the whipping post Tied to the whipping post Tied to the whipping post Good Lord, I feel Like I'm dyin' Ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh-ooh Ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh-ooh Yeah Yeah Ohh Yeah!

Thank y'all very much. We appreciate you very much. Have a great night. Thank you. It's fun, man, you know? It's fun getting to explore and having our fans follow us. You know, most of the shows are sold out this year. And it's just great being able to explore, but still give it everything we got, 'cause we want to make sure when we come back to your city that the show's gonna be different than it was the last time we came -- the setup, the production, the ideas, the way it moves and flows and... - I got some good friends That live down the street Got a good-looking woman with her arms 'round me Here in a small town Where it feels like home I've got everything I need And nothing that I don't Homegrown Homegrown Homegrown Homegrown I got some good friends That live down the street Got a good-looking woman with her arms 'round me Here in a small town Where it feels like home I've got everything I need Homegrown
