Mandy Explains His Favorite Line in Literature
I will look at this over and over again and memorize their names and pretend that I had a life history with them, because why not? Because my favorite line in all of literature was actually, I'm not sure where he got it, but it's from Oscar Hammerstein's libretto of the musical "Carousel." And the line is, "As long as there's one person on earth who remembers you, it isn't over." That's the motto of this whole series. So you have given me their memory. What would your mom think of this had she been alive to see it? I think she would have found a way to forgive her father. Really? Yes, because I just think she would have seen that he too came from people who struggled so hard to get here. -

Right. And that people make mistakes. Right. And that you don't have to be best friends, but don't erase a life. I believe that too. I think that's beautiful. What a gift. Thank you.
