What continent does it originate in? Africa. That means you're descended from a black woman on your mother's side. There you go. A black woman who was impregnated by a Spanish guy. Oh, wow! - See what I mean? Wow! - Yeah. And you can pretty safely assume that she was taken from West Africa. She didn't jump on the QE2 and come over here on vacation. She was transported to the islands on a slave ship. And your DNA alone, tells us this tale. Wow, wow. - Mm-hmm. Have you ever thought about the fact that you were descended from enslaved people, that you could possibly be? I knew that there would be. But to hear it, it just makes me appreciate my family, in general. It gives me a sense of pride. My people worked really hard. They didn't have much, but they worked. And this is... It just shows you what can happen in a couple generations. Mm, oh yeah. It's pretty phenomenal.
