More Secrets of the Manor House

Watch the Secrets of the Manor House series airing Sundays in July at 7 p.m.

Two winters ago, we presented the special Secrets of the Manor House to give Masterpiece Classic “Downton Abbey” fans a taste of what life was like inside the real-life luxury homes that are the backdrop for today’s period dramas.

In January 2013 we followed that effort up with the ultimate tour for Downton fans, Secrets of Highclere Castle.

This Sunday, Secrets of Henry VIII’s Palace picks up where Manor House and Highclere left off, offering an abundance of stories about the famous monarch’s home, Hampton Court – quite the Royal pleasure palace from what I understand.

The tour of Hampton Court is just the beginning of a four-week marathon of manor house secrets that also includes tours of Althorp and Chatsworth, the former being the childhood home and final resting place of Princess Diana. Join us Sundays in July as we divulge a month’s worth of secrets.

I’m a project manager at PBS Wisconsin, and formerly an associate editor at WisContext. When I’m not scouring the state for fun music and arts content, I’m usually being forced to go on a hike by my demanding border collie or being forced to read on the couch by my demanding cats.
