PBS Wisconsin’s Here & Now is bringing four days of Democratic National Convention coverage to audiences starting Monday, Aug. 19.
Each day of the 2024 DNC in Chicago, which runs through Aug. 22, senior political reporter Zac Schultz will be joined by political panelists Republican Bill McCoshen and Democrat Scot Ross for a live-streamed online discussion. These wide-ranging conversations, scheduled to begin at 2 p.m., will include news of the day, analysis and predictions.
Zac Schultz will also talk every day with Here & Now news director and anchor Frederica Freyberg for a short live-streamed report that will feature newsmakers and more about what’s happening in Chicago as the convention unfolds. These updates are scheduled to cut-in during evening coverage by PBS News Hour in Chicago.
For its Friday program on Aug. 23, Here & Now expands to one hour, starting at 7 p.m. That coverage will include interviews with the Democratic and Republican state party chairs on set as well as field interviews on location. The show will also feature additional election reporting from the Here & Now news team.
Here & Now likewise reported from the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, which ran from July 15 to July 18, with an hour-long program on July 19.
