After dark, when the streets begin to empty, (lights flashing) The beasts arrive. (hippo snorting) (radio beeps) (indistinct radio chatter) The night-time commuters are hippos. (dramatic music) With limited street lighting, the best way to see what they're up to is with a thermal camera. (dramatic music) Each night they travel in from the nearby river. They are all after just one thing. Grass. A hippo can head up to 90 pounds in a single sitting. (dramatic music)
