A Dumpling Debate Ensues
So what makes this a dumpling? Yeah, I mean, you know it's funny, because obviously, dumplings in the South are just a totally different thing. Right. I remember the first time I was at a restaurant in Louisville, and I was like, oh, they have chicken and dumplings.

I said, this isn't a dumpling. What would you call it? Boiled dough. But you would call gnocchi a dumpling, wouldn't you? I guess. I think, ultimately, a dumpling is whatever fits in your mouth in a small little packet. - It's small. And so what's the root of the Southern dumpling? I think it's a way to stretch the chicken, and that's certainly the premise behind gnocchi, but this doesn't feel the same as that.
