-I remember that I asked God, like, why don't I have my chance, you know, in the world to find love? And I had, like, um... a vision that when I find my wife, it will be some kind of miracle. In 2012, I make the pilgrimage to Uman in the Ukraine to ask God to find my wife. And, um... it happened, you know? It was, like, crazy, fast love story, and the year after we got married. So I went back to say thanks to God and to Rabbi Nachman for all this helping. -Rabbi Nachman's grave site, it's a living place. -You have 40,000 people coming together. In the eve of the Rosh Hashanah, every few meters, you have an improvised synagogue. I pray as I talk to my psychologist and my dad. Keeping it all inside can make you ill. You are having, like, breaking-through thoughts. And you understand that sometimes you have to let go, you know? And give it away to the God Almighty. You see people are so happy with the spiritual condition, they start to dance. I think it's the first time in Judaism that a Rabbi focused about being happy.

You know, for me, to believe, it's to have some kind of unknowing. I just give that a name, you know, I give it a name as "God." And I pray for him. You feel that you can create miracles, and you have hope for the next year.

We start the day with You inside Jesus' name, Father God, I commit this church into your hand, and I gotta commit the membership of this church to you, God -- the neighbors come from all language,

-I like to fight. I been liking to fight since I was a little kid. I used to pop people in their jaw. I don't take much. You just... all right, I'm gonna pop you in your jaw. Catching these penitentiary walls, huh? This long walk. It's a damnation! Man! I need some sleep so bad, son! You live in a dorm with 86 people -- robbers, killers, rapists. You have some sick games that get played in this penitentiary. Learning about God made me mad about all the things I did in my life. The sins I committed. I seen my first person die at 10 years old. We come ready to die at 13, 14 years old. We had no value on life. So to go out and kill a man, it's nothing to us. We just be like, "Man, there gotta be something better. Gotta be something better." Be needing them footsteps in the sand. I know I be needing them. -I knew that I would not get through this if it wasn't for God. I will never accept the fact that I will be here forever. I have a family. I have a daughter. And yes, I do have a life sentence, and in the state of Louisiana, life means life -- it means, you don't go to the front gate unless it's in a body bag. And I know that that's not God's plan for my life My man God has brought me to a place where he has restored me. I am looking for them to call me end of the day into the warden's office and say, "Did you hear the good news?" You see, I'm a different man in Christ, Jesus, now, so I'm looking for some new rewards. It's hard, man, it's hard trying to exemplify heaven in the midst of hell.

-Do I believe that I could have become this man outside of my incarceration? I would say no. How you been? -All right, I guess. -What they did? -90 days working cell block. And, uh, 24 weeks canteen. -Wow. Listen, everybody makes mistakes, okay? You're not the first person, you won't be the last person. And you know how you get helped? By opening up, and telling somebody you hurt. "Man, I'm sick, I need help." -I'm ready to cry every time I think about it, so I gotta hold those tears back and try to hide this pain and hide that pain but... You know what I'm saying, it's just so hard, it's just, you know. -I see you with your Bible and everything so, you know, man, now is the time, man, for you to dig deep, you know, man, and get closer to God, man. Hold your head up, get in that word, stay on your knees, and I'mma come see you tomorrow, y'hear? -Ooh, my due date, like, 2057. I got 49 years. I don't think about it -- why you had to make me think about that? Dude, that's... If I survive that due date I'd be 77 years old. I can't see that due date. You have to believe. No matter if you gon' die in this prison or not, you die fighting. That's how you die.

-Everybody has a race. What kind of world can you run a race if you're chained and bound? "You don't know what happened to me when I was nine," praise God -- and you still trying to run this race, amen, with the rejection that you went through at 9 and 10 years old. Man lay it aside! "You don't understand what he did to me and you don't understand how he turned his back on me, you don't understand that my daddy was abusive." Get over it! Lay it aside! Lay that weight aside, amen, praise God, I'm about to take it all so you can run free. And you know what I realized -- let me tell you all something, I'm serious, I'm about to break -- listen -- if we are ever going to be delivered physically, we got to get delivered spiritually. You can't have one without the other. -How much time I have does not determine my walk with Christ. -And I have yet to see any... -Man no longer can dictate who I am. My ticket has been punched for heaven. Nothing can take that away from me. That makes me free. -So see, if you walk heavy, and your children see you heavy, all of a sudden they get heavy. But if your children see you running light, "I wanna be like daddy. Daddy running light. Daddy running free. I know he locked up praise God, but he running free!" I can't afford to run heavy. There's too many people depending on me to finish. Let's do something, let's shake it. Let's do a little shaking. Come on, let's shake it. I mean, come on you shake it. I mean, come on now. I know Terrence when he get ready to fight I seen him do that kind of stuff, he shaking off -- there, there, shake it off. Praise God. Put up our hands to the Lord. Oh most gracious heavenly Father this morning. God, we wanna run free. God, we just want you to give us the strength to lay it aside. If it's a hurt, if it's a pain, if it's resentment -- whatever it is, Lord, give us the strength to lay it aside, that we may be able to run free.

-Morning. -Morning. -Morning! Checking in? -Yes. Hi, Jackie! -All right, can I have the arm? Thank you. Temperature is 99.5. -Prayer, in my early life, it was always asking for something I wanted -- "Oh, Lord, help me pass this test." Or, "Don't let dad find the cigarettes in the car." And, um, much different than that now....just a little bit... Prayer matures. I think God wants conversation. It's like, "Hey, you got a minute, buddy?" But the beauty of prayer, the beauty in my life, the one I speak of recently, and being sustained by, is the prayer of praying for others. "Urgent prayers needed for a family whose teenage daughter passed away recently. Also prayers needed for all of those close to this family." You -- you'd be surprised at what you get back. I have a neighbor, and I don't get to see her very much, it's just sinful practically. But she came to see me one day and she had, tucked in her arm, a beautiful flower... it was an orchid. And I had put it up on the windowsill in the kitchen and hadn't done much to it, because orchids are funny little flowers. They last for a while in a beautiful array of color and style and everything. And then, all of a sudden, they're gone. What was on the stems is now on the table. Terminal illness is a big, black, nasty storm. But when I look through with little binoculars or something, I see something else. I see other people sharing this with me. I see other people smiling because I can smile. And felt and knew -- somehow just knew, that it was gonna be okay. -Buh-bye. -Be careful. Love you bunch!
