About this show

Suzanne Vega embodies Carson McCullers through original song and two imagined talks inspired by her appearance at the NYC 92nd St Y in 1954. The first, set at the height of her young fame in 1941, is laden with booze, love and loss. In the second, Carson offers 25 years' hindsight—to reflect as a novelist, mortal and romantic, wise to Agape love over the erotic. Music by Duncan Sheik.
