Pat Roggensack:
When the justice has a conflict of interest, of course. I mean, your question has the answer.
Frederica Freyberg:
What’s a conflict of interest?
Pat Roggensack:
Well, it has — it has a lot of different parts. For example, if you were a material witness to an event, then you would have a conflict of interest because you couldn’t sit as a witness and also sit as a judge. We have a whole statute that talks about when judges are expected to recuse. And, you know, they’re pretty straightforward rules.
Frederica Freyberg:
All right. We need to leave it there. Chief Justice Pat Roggensack, thanks very much.
