- Join me in welcoming Dr.
Charles Mulli.
(audience applauding) - Individually or collectively, we have a responsibility to do something to change the world.
(choir singing in foreign language) Mulli Children's Family, it is the largest family in the world.
We started with only three kids in the year 1989, and I can say it is unbelievable.
- Most have gone on to advanced education, stable jobs and meaningful contributions in their families and communities.
- We found one of your students here getting his PhD.
- [Man] One of your children.
- Who was it?
- One of your children.
- Ah, hello.
- Hello, dad.
- Since the inception, I got the greatest joy in my life.
- It's been a long time.
- Yeah.
- This is a big, big surprise for me.
I've learned about the grace of God and also peace that come from above, - I had given up totally in my life.
I did not know anything could happen, whether I could become anything in life, but you made it.
- You're just adding layers and layers and layers to what I have to do tonight.
I don't know if I'm gonna get through the first paragraph (gentle choral music) - For the last 35 years doing this ministry and reaching out to the poor, when I look at Christmas now, it is the climax of what Jesus himself did.
(gentle choral music) His ministry was so much to the people.
And therefore, when I look at Christmas, it is a time for us as human beings to serve the Lord.
And I believe that God wants all of us to love and to serve others, to change even the world through love.
My advice is that people who are looking for something to do for their communities, humility is the key to success.
Don't expect to do something big, just start one step at a time.
Be a servant, and God will do great things through you.
(gentle music)
