Give a little, get a little Give a little Ooh, oh, oh Oh-oh Mmm, oh, ooh Ooh Oh-oh-oh But if you give a little, get a little Then maybe we could get to know each other Give a little, get a little Give a little And if you give a little, get a little Then maybe we could learn to love each other Oh, oh, ooh No one knows me And no one knows you You don't know me And I don't know you Everything's fresh Yeah, everything's new But if you don't know me And I don't know you Yeah I can feel it starting up now, yeah I can feel it all just coming through There's a whole new world just waiting, baby So much waiting just for me and you Yeah, yeah, yeah Waiting just for me and you Give, give, give, give, give, give a little Give a little, get a little Give a little Ooh

All right, Austin, it is a Friday night -- if you are still sitting down, I don't know what you're doing. My name is Maggie Rogers, this is my beautiful band. I'm gonna play you some songs from my record. I've been sleeping Barely dreaming Through a year and one half Found another Called him my lover Helped me get my old self back It was you Ooh-ooh-ooh It was you Ooh-ooh-ooh Only you Ooh-ooh-ooh You remind me, oh, you bring me back And you said Let me help you wake you up Let me help you break you up Let me help you open up I'm in love, I'm alive Oh, I'm burning
Cheering and applause
Oh, I was reckless Once was breathless Running from that day I snapped But I've got a feeling And keep believing I'm never gonna give this back It was you Ooh-ooh-ooh It was you Ooh-ooh-ooh Only you Ooh-ooh-ooh Oh, I'm never gonna give this back And you said Let me help you wake you up Let me help you break you up Let me help you open up I'm in love, I'm alive Oh, I'm burning
Cheering and applause
And if you're giving up, would you tell me? I'm gonna keep this love if you let me And if you're giving up, would you tell me? I'm gonna keep this love And you said Let me help you wake you up Come on! Let me help you break you up Let me help you open up I'm in love, I'm alive Oh, I'm burning Let me help you wake you up Let me help you break you up Let me help you open up I'm in love, I'm alive Oh, I'm burning Let me help you wake you up Let me help you break you up Let me help you open up I'm in love, I'm alive Oh, I'm burning
Cheering and applause
Oh, I'm burning Oh, I'm burning Oh, I'm burning Burning

This is a song about having a crush. Standing in the open light Within the swelter of the night I found myself staring at you And every time our fingers touched I felt like it would be too much And too little to hang on to I cannot fall in love with you I cannot feel this way so soon I cannot be this way with you I cannot fall in love with you I knew it when you walked my way That I'd be begging you to stay I couldn't say it to myself I couldn't say it to myself I felt it burning in a way I held on when you pulled away I couldn't say it to myself I couldn't say it to myself I couldn't say it I couldn't just say it And every evening, every time I keep replaying in my mind And wondering if you do the same And if it makes you lose your breath And if it makes you just forget That all of it's a bit insane I cannot fall in love with you I cannot feel this way so soon I cannot be this way with you I cannot fall in love with you I knew it when you walked my way That I'd be begging you to stay I couldn't say it to myself I couldn't say it to myself I felt it burning in a way I held on when you pulled away I couldn't say it to myself I couldn't say it to myself I knew it when you walked my way That I'd be begging you to stay I couldn't say it I couldn't say it Ooh, I felt it burning in a way I couldn't say it Oh, I couldn't say I couldn't say it I couldn't just say it Whoa Cannot fall in love with you I cannot feel this way so soon I cannot be this way with you I cannot fall in love with you
Cheering and applause
I'm coming up slowly I'm high on emotion With waves of this feeling As light as the ocean And then I see you When I feel like I'm drowning And then I see you It's okay, it's okay, I'm okay I'm all right again It's okay, I'm okay, it's okay Take me to that place where you always go When you're sleeping or your day takes you low so low When I'm on and off again On and off again, on and off again, oh Take me to that space when I need someone When I'm shaking or my mind starts coming undone When I'm on and off again On and off again, on and off again You turn me on like - Oh oh oh oh, oh oh oh oh, oh oh - Turn me on like - Oh oh oh oh, oh oh oh oh, oh oh Take me through this wild time Stay with me through all of time If I'm drenched in madness Tangled blues Won't you? Won't you? Take me to that place where you always go When you're sleeping or your day takes you low so low When I'm on and off again On and off again, on and off again, oh Take me to that space when I need someone When I'm shaking or my mind starts coming undone When I'm on and off again On and off again, on and off again You turn me on like - Oh oh oh oh, oh oh oh oh, oh oh - You turn me on like - Oh oh oh oh, oh oh oh oh, oh oh - You turn me on like - Oh oh oh oh, oh oh oh oh, oh oh - You turn me on like - Oh oh oh oh, oh oh oh oh, oh oh - You turn me on like Yeah Take me to that place Where you always go Oh, take me to that place Where you always go Won't you take me to that place? Take me to that place, take me to that place Take me to that place Where you always go Where you always go Where you always go Where you always go Where you always
Cheering and applause
I just want to invite you, during this set, it's kind of -- this is a different vibe, you know? This is a really historic place, and whenever we get to play these kinds of things, we think about... We, like, talk about, backstage, like, channeling the energy of the space and honoring all of the people who have stood, shoes or no shoes, on this stage. And, um --
Cheering and applause
Just a reminder that that energy belongs to you, too, so, whatever you need to work out or go through, move through, or think through or feel through, we're here for you and we have our own to figure out, too, so, uh... We are together in it.
Cheering and applause
This is a song about friendship. I count my time in dog years Swimming in sevens, slow dancing in seconds Oh, and I'm the one that loves you Oh, and I'm the one that loves you I spend my time daydreaming As sure as the sea It's just you and me Oh, and I'm the one that loves you Oh, and I'm the one that loves you And if you had a bad week Just let me touch your cheek Oh, and I'll be there waiting When you get frustrated I know things are changing But, darling, I'm saying I'll be singing you in all of my songs Come what may I'll still stay Inside your mind For all of time Singing, ooh We will be all right In the afterlife Of all that is shifting and shaking my system I know your rhythm I know, I know, I know, I know I know that I'm the one that loves you Oh, and I'm the one that loves you And if you had a bad week Then I'll sing you to sleep Oh, and I'll be there waiting If you start to get jaded I know things are changing But, darling, I'm saying I've been here all along Come what may I'll still stay Inside your mind For all of time Singing, ooh We will be all right - Ooh - Not in vain, we'll still stay the same Inside your mind For all of time Singing, ooh We will be all right In the afterlife In the afterlife Mmm Ooh Oh, I count my time in dog years Dog years, dog years, dog years Dog years We will be all right We will be all right In the afterlife - Dog years, dog years - Singing, baby, we will be all right We will be all right - Dog years, dog years - Singing, baby, we will be all right We will be all right

Oh, you said I can't take no more Lyin' by the sycamore And I know That we've both been here before You said, "let's leave them blank" But heartache always feels the same And I know That We've both been here before Oh, here I am, settling at your house Broken blinds keep the light comin' out And I Am just the shape I'm in Oh, here I am, settling, crying out Finding all the things that I can't do without Oh, now I am giving in Oh, I'm in retrograde
Vocalizing
I'm in retrograde Oh, I'm in retrograde Retrograde Standing, staring straight ahead Listening when Stevie says Mm, "Come out of the darkness" Feeling all I've ever known Fall away and letting go Oh Oh, come out of the darkness Ooh, here I am, settling on your floor Quietly, all the world outside your door And I Am reckoning Ooh, here I am, settling Freaking out You bring me in to help me Let me get me out Oh no-o-ow I'm in retrograde
Vocalizing
I'm in retrograde If only I could give in, if I could get out If only I could break in, if I could let me out Only I could let go, if I could sit out If only I could get back, if I could let me out Oh, I'm in retrograde Yeah, mm I'm in retrograde Ooh Oh, yeah, oh, yeah I'm in retrograde Oh, yeah, oh, yeah Oh, oh, oh, I'm in retrograde
Cheering and applause
Sorry...
Cheering and applause
These songs, you know, I have, um... Well, I clearly have a lot of feelings.
Cheering and applause
And I've been writing and producing music for about ten years now, and... these feelings are, um... They're all sort of jumbled up in a set list when I put them next to each other, and sometimes they give me a small amount of emotional whiplash. So we're transitioning from big, emotional breakup tunes... Sadder song, higher energy, to tender song about gratitude and empathy and... I just need, like, two seconds.
Cheering and applause
Almost three years ago exactly my life changed very quickly, right as I was graduating from college, and... I started this career in the music industry. Um... Because a lot of people gave me the chance all at once to do this thing I love more than anything else in the entire world, and...
Cheering and applause
And, um... It was a little overwhelming at first, to have, sort of, every dream I ever dreamt put in front of me at once, and, uh... Every night I got on stage not knowing what to find and what version of myself I would find -- if I would be really terrified and overwhelmed, and... anxious or scared or far from home. And every night I got on stage and I felt incredibly held by this audience that gave me this space, and I felt like there was a space for me to be vulnerable and... I continue to be... overwhelmed completely, night after night, by that space that is held and made for this music that means more than anything to me, so... I wrote this song to say "thank you."
Cheering and applause
Would you believe me now If I told you I got caught up in a wave? Almost gave it away Would you hear me out If I told you I was terrified for days? Thought I was gonna break Oh, I couldn't stop it Tried to slow it all down Crying in the bathroom Had to figure it out With everyone around me saying "You must be so happy now" Oh, if you keep reaching out Then I'll keep coming back But if you're gone for good Then I'm okay with that If you leave the light on I'll leave the light on - Light on, light on - Ooh, I am finding out There's just no other way That I'm still dancing at the end of the day If you leave the light on I'll leave the light on - Light on, light on, light on
Cheering and applause
- And do you believe me now That I always had the best intentions, babe? Always wanted to stay And can you feel me now That I'm vulnerable in oh, so many ways? Oh, and I'll never change Oh, I couldn't stop it Tried to figure it out But everything kept moving And the noise got too loud With everyone around me saying - "You should be so happy now" - Oh, if you keep reaching out Then I'll keep coming back But if you're gone for good Then I'm okay with that If you leave the light on I'll leave the light on - Light on, light on, light on - Ooh, I am finding out There's just no other way And I'm still dancing at the end of the day If you leave the light on I'll leave the light on - Light on, light on, light on - Oh, leave the light on Oh Would you leave the light on? Oh Leave the light on Oh Ooh, leave the light on Oh, if you keep reaching out Then I'll keep coming back But if you're gone for good Then I'm okay with that If you leave the light on I'll leave the light on - Light on, light on, light on - And I am finding out There's just no other way And I'm still dancing at the end of the day If you leave the light on I'll leave the light on If you leave the light on Then I'll leave the light on
Cheering and applause
Oh, if you leave the light on
Cheering and applause
Mm

Oh, I could feel the change a comin' Felt it in the breeze Oh, I could feel the change a comin' Comin' right for me Oh, I could feel the change a comin' Saw it on TV Oh, I could feel the change a comin' Saw it staring right on back at me Oh, yeah Oh, I could feel the shadow comin' Straight on down the line Masquerading like it was a friend of mine Oh, I could feel the darkness wrappin' All its arms in mine Oh, I could feel the world was turnin' All inside my mind Oh, I could feel the world was turnin' All inside My mind Oh, my mind Oh, my mind Oh, my mind I knew it when it started Felt the shift right as it parted Saw my feet right down below me Saw the whole room move around me Saw my old life and my old friends Saw me haunted, saw me back again Oh, maybe there's a past life Coming out inside of me Maybe it's the song I'm singing' Oh, maybe everything's just turnin' Out how it should be Oh, maybe there's a past life comin' out inside of me Oh, maybe there's a past life Comin' out inside of me Maybe there's a past life Comin' out inside Inside of me-e-e

I was walking through icy streams That took my breath away Moving slowly through westward water Over glacial plains And I walked off you And I walked off an old me Oh me, oh my I thought it was a dream So it seemed And now, breathe deep I'm inhaling You and I, there's air in between Leave me be I'm exhaling You and I, there's air in between
Vocalizing
You and I, there's air in between
Vocalizing
Cut my hair so I could rock back and forth Without thinking of you Learned to talk and say Whatever-ever-ever-ever-ever I wanted to
Cheering

Hold on, I thought that I could take it from here Oh, I thought that I was gone in the clear Now it's getting harder Ooh Hold on, I thought that I was doing so well Oh, like everything was under a spell Now it's getting harder I never loved you fully in the way I could I fought the current running Just the way you would But now I'm In the creek And it's getting harder I'm like falling water Go on and tell me just what I'm supposed to say As if it could be any other way Oh, it's getting louder Go on and tell me just how I could allow All that's light to end up somehow Where it's getting darker I never loved you fully in the way I could I fought the current running Just the way you would But now I'm Stuck upstream And it's getting harder I'm like falling water Falling water Falling water Come on, Austin!
Scattered cheers, clapping in time
Come on! I never loved you fully in the way I could I fought the current running Just the way you would But now I'm In the creek I never gave you everything, I wish I could I should've seen it coming from where you stood But now I'm In the creek - In the creek And I was going down - And it was going down on me And I was standing in the creek Ooh, ooh Ooh Ooh-ooh Ooh
Cheering and applause
Thank you so much. This is, um, when I finish shows, often I have a really hard time coming down, because my body is just, like, freaking out with adrenaline. And I've been thinking so much about how much I love I being loud with a group of people, because that is now my life, and it's beautiful, and frenetic, and... Um... It's really made me appreciate moments to just be quiet with a group of people also, so, um, I'm gonna sing, and you'll be quiet, and, um --
Laughter
And we'll all enjoy it, and, um...
Chuckles
Maybe me more than you, 'cause I get to sing.
Cheering and applause
Ooh Ooh Ooh Now that the light is fading Silver and purple at twilight Scenes of the day remain with us Bright as the fire is burning bright Blue as the sky above the lake And blue the water flowing White birch drooping on the shore Her leaves of emerald glowing The night is robed in spangled black And soon we shall be sleeping Beyond the moon That rides on high The radiant dawn Is creeping Creeping Down through the leaves, the sunlight Came in shafts Of gold Now by the dying embers We watched the day Grow old See you soon.
Cheering and applause
I think songs punctuate life, you know? I've -- I've really -- I've always written to understand how I'm feeling about something, because I think... I can talk to my friend, or I can write in my journal, or talk to a therapist, or call my mom, but as soon as I'm singing, I tell a truth, and I know when something hits in my voice when it's the truth. And when it's that thing that I can't tell anything -- anyone else -- but I know how to sing about it. And songwriting, for me, it always sort of happens very quickly, you know, it happens... sort of all at one time, in, like, 15 minutes. And, um, I just sort of wait to catch the rain.
Chuckles
I think so much about my songwriting process, or what I've chosen to do with my life, is -- it's a little bit crazy, because I have actively chosen to re-live these super painful, intense, visceral, colorful, joyful moments, over and over again every night. And in doing that, my vulnerability becomes my strongest super power. Like, by telling everyone exactly how I feel, it feels like no one can hurt me. - But everything kept moving The noise got too loud With everyone around me saying - "You should be so happy now" - Oh, and if you keep reaching out Then I'll keep coming back But if you're gone for good Then I'm okay with that If you leave the light on I'll leave the light on - Light on, light on, light on - Ooh, I am finding out There's just no other way And I'm still dancing at the end of the day If you leave the light on I'll leave the light on - Light on, light on, light on
