What kind of day have you had at Antiques Roadshow?

GUEST

Lovely. Terrific, wonderful, I've learned a lot of things, saw a lot of different people bringing in treasures. I saw the behind the scenes tour, which was great. And I have lots of little treasures that I brought, and had seen.

INTERVIEWER

Yes. First and foremost, you had your clocks appraised by John Delaney. What did you find out?

GUEST

Well, he said that this is an alarm clock, which makes it fun. Wind up alarm clock. 12 hour alarm, so you don't set it for six o'clock if it's five o'clock in the afternoon, because it'll give you six o'clock in the afternoon, rather than six o'clock in the morning. Excellent. And it was about $450. And then he appraised this for me, which I didn't know what it was. It is an alarm clock as well, and it's a travel alarm, which I thought was kinda cute. It too is a 12 hour alarm, so you best make sure you set it after the point. And then I went traveling around to different people.

Yes, you spoke with Kevin Zavian about your Scottie dogs.

Kevin Zavian about my Scottie dog, who is a Bakelite dog, and he is about $100. It was a gift from my father to my mother, And then we went over to sports, and for the sports, I had this. Now this is a 1947 Ebbett's field rain day, it was a rain out, and they gave you this rain day ticket with the pin. I didn't know that. And this was worth $750.

INTERVIEWER

Get out. So that's actually the most valuable thing you brought.

GUEST

Yep. And I thought this would be fun. And it was the most valuable. Those are my treasures, and I had a wonderful time.

INTERVIEWER

Well that's good to hear. And you brought a friend with you?

GUEST

Yes, I brought my friend Joanne, and she brought some treasures to go through, and found out a lot of them were worth something for her, and these were Norwegian pieces, and silver, and that was fun too.
