"Three More Days"
One, two, three Three more days And I'm coming home Leave the candle by the door Three more days Will you be there too? Please be gentle, I'll be true to you Ayy Three more days I had no feeling, I had no name I had a story to arrange The birds sang missionary prose But good intention can impose So I headed on my own To seek the origin alone I headed on my own I sought the elders, I heard them speak I sought the relevant, I sought the meek With fear they focused on my eyes Fear wears hatred in disguise But the heart is lined with gold In there your story's being told Three more days And I'm coming home Leave the candle by the door Three more days Will you be there too? Please be gentle, I'll be true to you Three more days At night I had a dream That nothing's what it seems To surrender is to win Ohh, to welcome death is to begin To be the words we all speak of Hold my weakness cause that's to love Hey! Three more days I'm coming home Leave the candle by the door Three more days Will you be there too? Please be gentle, I'll be true to you Yeah Three more days Ooooo Ooooo Ooooo Ooooo

Well, thank you. I hope that's real applause, not just TV applause. Well, I'll take TV applause. I've been in a lot of rooms where I'll take any kind of applause so I appreciate you being here. And for you behind the TV screens, I hope you're doing well and you're happy. I was going to say a lot of things I probably shouldn't say, so let's stick right there. My name's Mike Mangione. This is The Kin. I'll introduce them as we move through our half-hour set here.

Ooooo Ooooo Ooooo Ooooo Beneath the rattled bell The hard words fell Between the ears tearing at the seem They hit em all down in Grafton on Falls It was the worst I ever seen Now there's a strike out there But I don't even care And since October I've been seeing red Oh Lord, when she twisted my wrist And whispered what she said Only love Love will set you free Only love Love will set you free
bluesy music
She was a broken piece A half a deck at least And craved fire like a puff'n train We had a song That we'd balance on rain or shine It was all the same I was chained n bound by the Tomah ground And sick of stories from the borderline She said you can run but you'll never move on If your heart's deaf, dumb and blind Only love Love will set you free Only love Love will set you free And I'd give I'd give All Mmmm Just to be with her again Yeah Ooooo Ooooo Now I'm cracked as hell I'm kicking up a trail I got to get to her somehow There's always one who will get'cha son Catch you dream'n off a bow And with her lipstick grin, she said now where you been And did you find it and get your fill? Peace is quiet in the running my love But it screams inside the still Only love Love will set you free Only love Ayyy! Lovers! Ooooo Ooooo Ooooo Ooooo Ooooo Ooooo Ooooo

"Nothing Lasts Forever"
soft, gentle notes on guitar
How numb can words remain How numb can feelings fall When beloved is a muse no man can Escape at all I feel your distant fever And at times I hear your plea And I taste my tongue burn From every promise gone selfishly Before you leave me mother Please help me understand How a boy can be a lover How a lover can be a man So if you want me babe Please want me here today Because nothinglasts forever and Nothing's here to stay So many seem the mornings Now one less until I go But no beauty of a sunrise Can fulfill that ache we all must know I know I acted foolish I was a thief among family But no fault can bleach desire To redeem eternity I know so well forgiveness I know so well regret But every time they pierce my heart It feels like they have never met So if you want me babe Please want me here today Because nothing lasts forever And nothing's here to stay

There was no hand that moved that mountain But there was a drop that changed the world And as sands of time cause agony That tear released the pearl So if you want me babe Please want me here today Because nothing lasts forever and Nothing's here to stay If you want me baby Step out and take my hand Because nothing lasts forever But the love of woman and man Yea nothing lasts forever But the love of woman and man Yea nothing lasts forever
