Ethereal/Alt-Pop LA-based artist, Madison Malone's songs use the light to recognize the dark. Her new music is the beauty created beneath the destruction. I have a wanderin' eye I have a wanderin' eye I'm barely satisfied When I'm feeling down I think of the love I found But I have a wanderin' eye

So I think we grow up too quickly. What I really think we need to do is listen to the little voice inside of us.
"Treehouse"
There's a tree in my backyard Bulldozers took it down I sat in it most days When my parents would leave town Inside my treehouse I don't have to grow up My thoughts run wild I'm forever a child Oooo Mmmmm Oooo Mmmmm There's a blanket in my room It is tattered and torn Patches to fix up The places I wore Inside my blanket I don't have to grow up My thoughts run wild I'm forever a child Oooo Mmmm Running through the grass I remember it just like that Dirt upon my feet No one to please When we grow up Why do we have to leave the land of make believe I don't know I don't know There's a photo on my shelf It's a picture of myself Seated at the keys The blanket on my knees Inside this photograph I don't have to grow up My thoughts run wild I'm forever a child Oooo, Oooo Child Oooo, Oooo Haaaa Hooo, Oooo Haaaa Hoooo Haaaa Ooooo Hoooo Hoooo Haaaa Ooooo

So this next song is called "Foxes" and I released my first music video last fall and it was of this song. And we recorded it here in Wisconsin. And back in L.A., my friends and people were like, "Oh my gosh, it is so beautiful. Where did you film that?" They just couldn't believe that it was in a friend's backyard here. I'm like, "Yeah, Wisconsin is beautiful." It's so beautiful. I'm so happy to be from this place. But anyways, check out the video. It's called "Foxes." And it's a song about bullies and not letting anybody take your light.
"Foxes"
mid-tempo melody on piano
Through the branches of the trees I see their glow looking at me Beneath the constructs of the roots Their stinging souls are in pursuit Of the light inside of me They are begging set it free Oh oh, whoa oh Of the light inside of me They are begging set it free Cast out the foxes, oh whoa oh Cast out the foxes, oh whoa oh Cast out the foxes, the fox, foxes Inside the broken dams Of the marsh Their teeth are eager to draw blood, draw blood, hey Peaking in the darkness of the depths, now Relentless to take all that is left Cast out the foxes, oh whoa oh Cast out the foxes, oh whoa oh Cast out the foxes, the fox, foxes now Cast out the foxes, oh whoa oh Cast out the foxes, oh whoa oh Cast out the foxes, the fox, foxes They are building tunnels, block them out They are building tunnels, block them out They are building tunnels, block them out They are building tunnels, block them out Oh ho aaaahh Ooooo Howwww Haaaa Of the light inside of me They are begging set it free, yeah Cast out the foxes, oh whoa oh Cast out the foxes, oh whoa oh Cast out the foxes, the fox, foxes, now Cast out the foxes, oh whoa oh Cast out the foxes, oh whoa oh Cast out the foxes, the fox, foxes Oh wooooo Whoaaaaa They are building tunnels They are building tunnels Oh whoa ohhhhh

Thank you. Drinking out of my new fancy waterbottle. So I grew up in Portage, Wisconsin. And this is just a song about having really big dreams and coming from a small place. You can dream anything you want to. It can come true. Just gotta work for it. That's it.
"Shoreline"
mid-tempo melody on piano
I come from a city that keeps me grounded With frozen cliffs Two rivers surrounding It's not much Just a place to be from Know everybody there Hope to make them proud Dropout with no degree Oh, on the edge I gotta breathe But now it's hard to breathe For someone who just wants to be heard Let me run, let me run away From this little girl Standing on the shoreline Waiting for the echoes Voice, just come and find me I'm ready to go Standing on the shoreline Waiting for the echoes Voice, just come and find me I'm ready to go I hesitated to let my words break out My reflection screams Now is the time to shout, shout, shout Standing on the shoreline, oh, oh, ohhhhoh Standing on the shoreline, oh, oh, ohhhhoh Standing on the shoreline, oh, oh, ohhhhoh, oooo Across the street from the cemetery is where I would lay my head down Lay my head down to sleep I could outline my journey Oh completely, but tell me am I Tell me am I worthy So I grew up acress the street from a cemetery, which is why I said that. Downtown is filled with painted back alleys On Friday nights We drive through the valleys Staying out past the city's curfew Skidding parking lots, not much else to do What else to do For the echoes Voice, just come and find me I'm ready to go Standing on the shoreline Waiting for the echoes Voice, just come and find me I'm ready to go I hesitated to let my words break out, yeh My words break out My reflection screams Now is the time to shout, shout, shout Standing on the shoreline, oh, oh, ohhhhoh Standing on the shoreline, oh, oh, ohhhhoh Standing on the shoreline, oh, oh, ohhhhoh Oooo

Thank you so much. So I came out last year as pansexual, which means that you are -- you love people of all genders. Doesn't matter who they are. You love them for who they are and who they aren't. I love you for you. And I like, hesitate still to talk about it and it's still something, you know, scares ya and it shouldn't because love is a really beautiful thing and that love is positive. I never think it should be something that we keep quiet. So wherever you live, whoever you are, whoever you love, however you love, what you love, not matter what it is, I encourage you to talk about it. And to be proud and be out and celebrate. Because if somebody you know doesn't celebrate it, somebody else in the world does celebrate it. I celebrate it. So don't quiet down and that's what this is about.

"Quiet Down"
slow melody on pinao
Quiet down Keep it low No need to tell them who you are Wear the mask They won't know If you love them or him or her I don't believe that love could be a sin Wanna show you all of me Give you everything Oh, this is not easy Yeah, this is not easy When I'm in bed I feel warm and safe within her arms They can't tell me the way I'm living Does anyone harm If there's a god I'm sure they brought you to me Wanna show you all of me Give you everything Oh, this is not easy Wanna share my love out loud Let everyone know it now Oh, this is not easy Yeah, this is not easy Quiet down Quiet down They want me to quiet down But I won't quiet down Wanna show you all of me Give you everything Oh, this is not easy Wanna share my love out loud Let everyone know it now Oh, this is not easy No, this is not easy Quiet down Quiet down

Thank you so much. I'm not crying. I just like tear up when your eyes close and it's like -- I don't want the mascara to run. Ah, so, this song is called "Home" and it's about packing up and moving on and moving out. But still feeling nostalgic towards the place you grew up in and towards the people that you're surrounded by.
"Home"
mid-tempo melody on piano
Faded pines... ... and slamming doors Kids on bikes... ... and kids next door Rushing water Falling leaves Tire swings fill up my memory Oh, the driveway has seen so many people leave I hope it won't forget about me This is the only home I've ever known This is the only home I've ever known And it's bittersweet to let go Ohhhh Midnight fireflies Rolling greens Friday nights and movie screens Campfire crackling Mama laughing Wolves are howling and I am too up at the moon Oh, this backyard has heard a thousand of my words It holds more secrets than anyone This is the only home I've ever known This is the only home I've ever known And it's bittersweet to let go Ohhhh Oooo Oooo Oooo Every inch that I grew Every song that I wrote Every love that I cried for late at night Every fight that was fought Every dream that I had I thank the floorboards for holding me I thank the walls for supporting me I've been speaking about the day that I would move away The house listens to everything This is the only home I've ever known This is the only home I've ever known And it's bittersweet to let go Ohhhh Oooo Oooo Oooo Ohhhh
