One of the state’s top up-and-coming indie-pop acts, Seasaw is Eve Wilczewski and Meg Golz. The composer / performers blend guitar and electric keys for music that soothes and challenges—with precision vocal harmonies. Says OnMilwaukee.com: "Seasaw’s brand of folk-pop reflects a wide range of musical influences, from Beirut to Calexico to Fleet Foxes to Noah and the Whale, and more."

"Waiting Song"
C'mon baby won't you hold me tighter Than your fists curled up in a schoolyard fight? I'll be your backup when you're callin' my name And c'mon baby won't you keep me safer Than that high score on that pinball game You're always playin' at your favorite arcade? And we could be takin' names And we could be record breaking C'mon baby won't you buy me flowers With that money spent on whiskey sours That you're buyin' at those wasted hours? And c'mon baby won't you talk me sweet? Instead I'm starin' at this empty seat Cause you've got someone else you'd rather meet And we could be out too late And we could be perfect mates And we could be out too late And we could be perfect mates So c'mon baby won't you prove me wrong? Cause I've been waiting here all day long And so I'm singing you this waiting Song

A little spooky. - Real spooky. This next one goes out to all those ghosts in the audience.
"Into The White"
Hey! Hey!
fast guitar
When I thought about all those things I love to be I realized I was you and you were me Sometimes I freak out Sometimes I see the light Going going gone going gone gone Go into the night So go! When I saw my soul so close and magnified I realized I had yours and you had mine Sometimes I'm sure of sometimes my head's not right Slowing slowing down slowing down down Slow into the white So go! When I looked back over all of this I saw your face and it's mine I'll miss
cheers and applause
"Undependable"
Everything is beautiful When you know that it won't last And this love will pass me By and by I go I feel it in my body I'm getting old And nobody's sold on me Cause I'm not people I'm your friend I'm not the answer but I'll surely be the end Please don't wait for me cause I'm undependable you see Dancin' around I'll sell it like this is easy When life gets so unbearable I escape I get out fast The cold wind's in my mast Threw it out the car window 'Til I broke down on the road And I'm so alone Cause I'm not people I'm your friend I'm not the answer but I'll surely be the end Please don't wait for me cause I'm undependable you see Dancin' around I'll sell it like this is easy Fortune finds a way Sometimes its backwards And back when my mind knew all the questions And drew lines So close I didn't knock Circled again around the road block You owe it to me help me blame myself Cause you're not people you're my friend You're not the answer But I'll surely choose you as my end And I will wait for you cause you're undependable too So dance with me we'll sell it We'll make it easy

That last song was called "Undependable"] It's an older one, but we brought it back just for the viewers of Wisconsin Public Television. Just for the viewing pleasure. We're going to do a new one on the autoharp, and... This one's called "Ex-Girlfriend". I'm his ex-girlfriend but we're still real friends in real life I'm his ex-girlfriend but we're still real friends in real life-- You better deal with it Sometimes I bite his skin And he pretends not to like it Sometimes I always win And he pretends that he likes it I'm his ex-girlfriend but we're still real friends In real life-- You better deal with it Sometimes he cuts me down And I pretend not to like it Sometimes he's a real ghost town and I pretend That I that I like it You could do anything My tattoo I won't remove You could do anything My tattoo I won't remove And you could say whatever you want My tattoo I won't remove You could love whoever you want For you I'd love them too I'd love them too I'd love them too I'd love them Too
vocalizing
Cause I'm his ex-girlfriend but we're still real friends In real life

"Together"
When you taught me how to see I saw everything you'd be Read the fortunes in our hands Did the opposite of our plans Visions in my sleep I know we're not sharing the same dreams But everything is so hard and I'm tryin' just the same And everybody grows apart do what you need-- Don't be ashamed Cause we made it together Cried nights and made it better Now all I really want to do Is waste all of my days on you And if you ask me in the end I'd waste all my days over again Wanted to erase the word alone We watch the earth burying bones There were signs along the path-- We're okay as long as we can still laugh You said nothing's ever free Always my friend sometimes my thief Catch me sitting outside beside myself Looking in on the life That we made together cried nights and made it better Now all I really want to do Is waste all of my days on you And if you ask me in the end I'd waste all my days over again All I really want to do Is waste all of my days on you All I really want to do Is waste all of my days on you Now all I really want to do Is waste all of my days on you Now all I really want to do Is waste all of my days on you And if you ask me in the end I'd waste all my days over again

That's Meg Golz on the keys and the drums. And that's Eve Wilczewski over there on the guitars and the autoharps. Meg actually, poor thing, has a little sprained finger tonight. She's working through the pain. Working through it. She's working through it. She had this real elaborate splint on until just seconds before the cameras-- The Theater began.

The Theater. So, how's it feeling? It's, you know, I'm not in pain. It's gonna make you stronger. - It will. Just that one finger. -What doesn't kill me, you know?

...will make me stronger. It would be really hard to die from just a finger injury, I feel like, but who knows? Crazier things have happened.
"Coincidence"
Meg in British accent
This love is just coincidence I'm failing to convince myself Walk walk away He's not as funny as you but still he makes me laugh He's not as kind as you and he won't take it back I know I should just go and walk away He's not as pretty as you but I can't look away His music's hurtin' my ears I'll listen anyway I know I should just go and walk away Hey! Hey! Hey! Hey! Hey! Hey! This love is just coincidence I'm failing to convince myself Walk walk away He pays his bills all late he keeps the power on He don't got many friends not many that he's fond of I know I should just go and walk away He don't believe what I think he got that hometown view I'd like to have a debate he doesn't have a clue I know I should just go and walk away I know I should just go and walk away I know I should just go and walk away Hey! Hey! Hey! Hey! Hey! Hey!

"Grains of Sand"
Meg in British accent
Well the rain let himself fall down in sacrifice On his knees brought the ground back to life Muddy nobody thought twice Well the storm looked down Called out and clapped her hands "Rain I love you more than there are grains of sand "In the ocean "Tell me do you think she's the one My son" Whoo-hoo-hoo! Whoo-hoo-hoo! Whoo-hoo-hoo! Well the rain found himself searching down every street-- Tumbling down the hills into rushing creeks Felt the ground underneath She was just what he'd dreamed But after all this time come and go The storm was spent and her energy low "Rain if you can please stop me I've got a nasty little habit of honesty Honestly I want you to be happy" Whoo-hoo-hoo! Whoo-hoo-hoo! Whoo-hoo-hoo! Well storm this is real I need her I appeal Let's make a deal I'll let you keep me let me keep what I feel And you will always have my hand More times than there are grains of sand

"Raise Me"
Meg in British accent
Jobs these days ain't bringin' me thrills And the love I'm takin' ain't payin' my bills Momma did you raise me up to fall? Daddy did you even raise me at all? I'll take your money and I'll take the blame My knuckles bloody from even the slightest change "Okay to be scared-- want you to go slow" That's what I needed to hear so I could let go Good grief Sunrise Where the Hell have you been out all night? Jobs these days ain't bringin' me thrills and the love I'm takin' ain't payin' my bills Momma did you raise me up to fall? Daddy did you even raise me at all? I've got that walk now teach me how to fly I've climbed every hill to get closer to the sky I shivered for fortune she was never enough Shook hands with the future Looked in his eyes and called his bluff Good luck Sunrise Tell me was it worth risking your whole life? Yes yes yes Yes yes yes Whoo-hoo-hoo-hoo-ooo Whoo-hoo Whoo-hoo-hoo-hoo-ooo Whoo-hoo I'll make this promise I'll make you proud All our ancestors look back on the same ground I'm writin' my autobiography Can do it alone but I'd rather have you helpin' me Last call Sunrise Oh I've never seen that look in your eyes Jobs these days ain't bringin' me thrills And the love I'm takin' ain't payin' my bills Momma did you raise me up to fall? Oh Daddy did you even raise me at all? Oh Daddy did you even raise me at all?
