Van Buren Elementary School educators Melissa Ruff, an innovation specialist, and Tiffany Redieske, a grade 2 teacher, have earned the PBS Media Literacy Educator Certification, recognizing PreK-12 educators who demonstrate an ability to help learners think critically about media consumption and creation.

For the first time in three years, The Great Wisconsin Quilt Show will return to the Alliant Energy Center in Madison, Wisconsin as an in-person event, welcoming quilters from across Wisconsin and throughout the United States to join together and share their love for quilting.

Concerts on the Square®, featuring the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra (WCO) under the baton of Music Director Andrew Sewell, returns to PBS Wisconsin for two concerts at 6 p.m. Saturdays, July 16 and 23 with two performances from the Wisconsin State Capitol in Madison.

Heather L. Reese has been named executive director of Wisconsin Public Media, the division at the University of Wisconsin–Madison that oversees Wisconsin Public Radio and PBS Wisconsin. Reese has served as interim director since August following the death of Gene Purcell, who had served in the role since 2018. 

The Great Wisconsin Quilt Show invites youth quilters and sewists, ages 15 and under, to enter their quilts in the 2022 Kids' Quilt Challenge. The contest is part of the annual Great Wisconsin Quilt Show, presented by PBS Wisconsin and Nancy Zieman Productions. Entries must be received by Aug. 12, 2022.
