Megan Monday serves as Director of Education for PBS Wisconsin, leading a team of producers, engagement specialists, and communicators to serve Wisconsin educators with locally-produced original classroom media, along with tools to leverage the expansive resources distributed through national partners at PBS KIDS and PBS LearningMedia.

PBS Wisconsin Education’s educational producers create classroom media resources for 3rd through 12th grades — with an emphasis on social studies, the arts, science, and English language arts. They employ an inclusive and engagement-driven production model, working in close collaboration with educators, as well as cultural advisors and contributors from the communities represented in resources.

The team’s engagement specialists travel across Wisconsin to deliver professional development to educators, share our locally-produced classroom media, and facilitate programming that leverages PBS KIDS early learning resources for communities.

The team’s communication specialists work to share our local, standards-aligned resources, as well as curate and activate educational media from across the PBS system for educators right here in Wisconsin.

Previously, Monday served as the executive producer for PBS Wisconsin Education, leading the development of classroom media. Prior to that, she ran a digital media firm, and before that, was a K-12 educator. Monday’s team has won multiple Emmy awards and, most recently, the 2023 Bobbi English Champion for Children Award from Sesame Workshop, PBS KIDS, and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB).
