Masood is president/founder of multiple entities: CleanTech Partners, Inc., BioPulping International Inc., a University of Wisconsin spinoff, and Biorenewable Deployment Consortium. He is an Indian-born, American Muslim and activist who also founded a state-wide, non-partisan movement, “We Are Many: United Against Hate,” to fight hate, bigotry, and racism in an effort to build inclusive communities. He also served on Dane County’s “Immigration and Refugee Task Force,” aimed to foster trust between local law enforcement officials and the immigration and refugee communities. He has received many prestigious awards, including the “Certificate of Appreciation” by the Southern Poverty Law Center and the national FBI’s 2018 Director’s Community Leadership Award.
