Mary Alice Van Gemert is an Event Coordinator at PBS Wisconsin, where she plays a key role in producing the organization’s largest annual community engagement and fundraising event, The Great Wisconsin Quilt Show. Held each September, this event welcomes more than 16,000 quilting enthusiasts from across the country. As Vendor Registrar, Mary Alice manages the recruitment, communication, booth placement and payment processing for more than 150 businesses and organizations that fill approximately 350 vendor booths. She also coordinates with event sponsors, organizes bus group logistics, oversees advertising sales for the event guide and researches national quilting trends to enhance the show’s offerings.

In addition to her work on the Quilt Show, Mary Alice helps plan and execute a variety of other events that support PBS Wisconsin’s mission. Most recently, she organized community screening events for "Wisconsin Hometown Stories: Beloit" — a project of personal significance as a Beloit native.

Mary Alice also supports the annual Garden & Green Living Expo. Prior to her current role, she contributed to PBS Wisconsin's auction and pledge drives, demonstrating her longstanding commitment to the organization's outreach and fundraising efforts.
