Secrets of the Tower of London

Watch Secrets of the Tower of London at 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27 on Wisconsin Public Television.
It’s not every day you can get an all-access pass to go behind locked doors and explore as you please. In fact, let’s be honest – that never actually happens. Chances are if a location is hidden or secret or off-limits, there’s a reason for it that doesn’t just magically go away on the fourth Friday of every month.
That being said, it’s nice to occasionally sneak a peek behind the scenes without spending years earning a high enough clearance level or forging the necessary documents. That’s what opportunities like this are all about – having someone else do all the leg (and camera) work for us so we can sit back and reap the benefits of the discoveries they uncover.
And besides, what better way is there to get Sunday night started off than by exploring a fortress built almost a thousand years ago? I’m trying to think of how this will perfectly segue into the Packer game… perhaps a metaphor where the fortress walls are the defensive line and the Vikings are trying to raid our castle? Yeah… let’s just pretend that sounded infinitely more clever.
