Watch the Eric Clapton Crossroads Guitar Festival at 8 p.m. Monday, June 6 on Wisconsin Public Television.
One of the most powerful parts of public television is the unfettered access you get to some of the hottest shows around the world. Last year, one of those sought-after tickets was for Eric Clapton’s third Crossroads Guitar Festival in Chicago. Now, you get a front row seat to watch an amazing lineup of the world’s finest guitar wizards, including Robert Cray, Hubert Sumlin, Jimmie Vaughan, Sonny Landreth, Gary Clark, Jr., Keb’ Mo’ and Buddy Guy, B.B. King, ZZ Top, Jeff Beck, the John Mayer Trio, Doyle Bramhall II, the Derek Trucks & Susan Tedeschi Band, Warren Haynes and Steve Winwood, Vince Gill, James Burton, Jeff Beck, Sheryl Crow, Ronnie Wood, Robert Randolph, Jonny Lang, Joe Bonamassa, Pino Daniele, and Los Lobos’ David Hidalgo and Cesar Rosas. What a lineup, right?
Oh yeah, and Bill Murray stopped by to host dressed as Elvis… It doesn’t get any more entertaining than that!
To whet your appetite until the broadcast, enjoy John Mayer Trio’s performance of “Who Do You Think I Was” with a fun introduction from Murray below:
