Charlie Rose interviews Bradley Cooper

Anyone filling out an Oscar ballot this year could probably learn a thing or two about the movies they’re not familiar with by watching Charlie Rose.

When I learned that he was interviewing actor Eddie Redmayne this week, I realized Rose has interviewed each of the five nominees for Best Actor about the roles for which they’re nominated. (Thus adding to my theory that Rose – one of the hardest working TV journalists – never sleeps).

When it comes to the Best Actress nominees, Rose has work to do. He has only talked to Best Actress nominee Rosamund Pike for her role in “Gone Girl” and to Reese Witherspoon, but that was for 60 Minutes (the guy is on TV 24/7!). He has interviewed Marion Cotillard, Felicity Jones and Julianne Moore recently, but not about their Oscar nominated roles.

For now, you can learn more about the Best Actor nominees Steve Carell (Foxcatcher), Bradley Cooper (American Sniper), Benedict Cumberbatch (The Imitation Game), Michael Keaton (Birdman or [The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance]) and Eddie Redmayne (The Theory of Everything).

Do your homework and Best Actor will be one category you’re sure to get correct on your Oscar ballot.
