As a small, nocturnal forest dweller, it’s easy to forget about the humble hedgehog.
A dedicated group of people in England, enamored by these tiny grunting balls of spines, have made it their mission to protect and raise awareness about the animal.
Meet the Hedgehogs details the work done by the Amazing Grace project, which was set up by May, and the efforts made by ordinary people around the country to rescue, and release hedgehogs, spread awareness and make their gardens hedgehog-friendly.
“All hedgehogs are precious,” said Backshall. “They’ve been around longer than the saber-toothed tiger or woolly mammoths, so they’re tough little creatures that deserve to be here for many years to come.”
Tune in Sunday, April 7 at 6 p.m. to learn even more about these incredible creatures!
