Producer Mary Pokorney-Donelan joins the Be more Tuned In Blog with a note on the upcoming season.

Director’s Cut is in production for a very exciting and entertaining sixth season. Films will run the gamut from thought-provoking documentaries, intense dark dramas, and a few zombies for good measure.

And besides a wide variety of films, Director’s Cut will feature a variety of guest hosts as well, bringing their own unique style to the set. Our guest hosts will be Pete Schwaba, Doug Gordon and John Urban.

Watch full episodes from past seasons.

Pete Schwaba is a stand-up comic/host/actor who has many television appearances on HBO, Showtime, and Comedy Central. He is also the director and lead actor of the film “The Godfather of Green Bay.” As a child, Pete split his time between Wisconsin and Chicago and he currently lives in Marinette.

Doug Gordon is a producer on the popular To the Best of our Knowledge series on Wisconsin Public Radio. He is also a filmmaker, both directing and starring as Angus MacAbre, Scotland’s funniest zombie comedian in “The Zombeatles: All You Need is Brains.” Doug, originally from Vancouver, BC, lives in Madison.

John Urban has a long distinguished career on radio and TV in the Madison area, including six years at ComedySportz, the morning host for Triple M 105.5FM, and host of his own local variety show The Urban Theater which aired on My Madison TV. John also is a professional photographer and a filmmaker. John lives in Madison.

We welcome all three hosts and are looking forward to a great season.

Charles Monroe-Kane, the host for the first five seasons of Director’s Cut, has moved on to concentrate on Wisconsin Public Radio projects and is currently working on a book. We wish him success on his future endeavors.
