Will pirates ever get old? The idea of piracy has been around for centuries and yet still remains today. Pirates of the Caribbean brought pirates back into mainstream culture and that franchise has kept pirates alive and well for years with no real end in sight.
Outside of theaters, archaeologists are finding remnants of sunken pirate ships and uncovering lost treasures. It’s almost like the original pirates are being brought back to life while new ones are just being created on the movie screen.
On top of that, there’s also the issue of Somali pirates. The 21st century version of pirates who are attacking people more and more frequently in the Indian Ocean. The scary thing is, despite our advancements in technology and weaponry, the world’s navies have still been unable to stop these violent attacks.
