We are working 'em on pavement, rather then on yielding terrain where the foot would sink in. The foot's always growing and it's always wearing. So what you want to do is strike a balance in there. Basically, what happens is our guys will wear for length. They'll wear their hoof balls down to about the level of the soul, which is right where you want them, but they'll create a sharp edge when they do that. All I was doing there was rounding the sharp edge so that little sharp edge doesn't step on every little stone and peel up. The outer half of the hoof wall will flake up and peel off if it catches. It's like having a fingernail. I was just givin' her a little pedicure.
