Milwaukee and Chicago artist Mauricio Ramirez first started painting large murals as a teenager. In April, he was inspired by local healthcare workers to paint a new mural on Milwaukee’s south side. The mural depicts a healthcare worker during the COVID-19 pandemic. The bright colors Ramirez chose for the mural are designed to help create more positive image. The mural took Ramirez about a week.
