Sears and Roebuck Houses in Wisconsin

Jim Draeger, retired State Historic Preservation Officer with the Wisconsin Historical Society, discusses the houses-by-mail phenomenon, which started in the late 1800s, with Sears and Roebuck selling millwork and house plans, then complete homes through mail order catalogs, eventually become the largest supplier of mail-order houses in America.
