About this show
A revealing and utterly entertaining portrait of longtime Masterpiece Theatre host Alistair Cooke, one of the most celebrated broadcasters of the 20th century. The program is told in Cook’s own voice and in interviews with family and close friends. Seen for the first time are extraordinary 8mm home movies shot by Cooke.
Funding for MASTERPIECE is provided by Viking and Raymond James with additional support from public television viewers and contributors to The MASTERPIECE Trust, created to help ensure the series’ future.
