Ludington was built on woods and water, a legacy that lives on today. Once the largest car ferry port on the Great Lakes, the lakeside Michigan city is home to the SS Badger, the last coal-fired passenger steamship in operation in the United States. It's also home to disc golf, museums and an energy plant you have to see to believe.
