GIANLUCA: The world loves Ennio Morricone, the greatest maestro of all time.
We are very proud to sing his melodies and to bring this legacy all over the world.
IGNAZIO: Support of Morricone's family is very important to us.
PIERO: The son, Andrea Morricone, the Maestro Andrea Morricone, decide to be on stage with us, next to us, conducting the orchestra on the melodies that wrote the Maestro Ennio Morricone.
GIANLUCA: In the last few months, we listened, and we used to watch the movies of Sergio Leone and the soundtracks of the beautiful melodies of Maestro Ennio Morricone.
[audience cheers] We picked out the best ones.
[cheering and applause] [orchestra playing "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly"] [applause and cheering] [applause subsides] I will love you From now until the end of time Let me guide you Through every word and every rhyme Let me love you Every day, for the rest of my whole life Bigger than the ocean Deeper than the sea An endless passion Dancing inside you and me Inside you and me Your smile, your touch Forever will never be long enough My heart's desire Burns for you Like the moon and the sun Our love is true [applause and cheering] ALL: Buona sera!
Buona sera!
[applause] PIERO: Hello, everyone.
Welcome to Verona, the romantic Italian city of Romeo e Giulietta!
IGNAZIO: We have a very special performance for you this evening, as we pay tribute to an Italian and worldwide treasure, one of our greatest composer of all time, the great Maestro Ennio Morricone.
GIANLUCA: Tonight we remember some of his masterpieces and share some of our favorites with you, perhaps with a few Il Volo classics along the way!
Se tu fossi nei miei occhi per un giorno Vedresti la bellezza che piena d'allegria Io trovo dentro gli occhi tuoi Non so se si magia o realt GIANLUCA: Se tu fossi nel mio cuore per un giorno Potresti avere un'idea Di ci che sento io Quando mi abbracci forte a te E petto a petto, noi Respiriamo insieme Protagonista del tuo amor Non so se si magia O realt Se tu fossi nella mia anima un giorno Sapresti cosa sento in me Che m'innamorai Da quell'istante insieme a te E ci che provo Solamente amore Da quell'istante insieme a te E ci che provo Solamente amore [applause] IGNAZIO: Once upon a time there were three teenagers from Italy.
PIERO: They all loved to sing, but discovered that when they sang together, their three voices truly took flight.
GIANLUCA: Over a decade later, we now perform a song from Ennio Morricone's acclaimed film score, "Once Upon a Time in the West."
This is "Your Love."
[applause] [applause subsides] I woke and you were there Beside me in the night You touched me and calmed my fear Turned darkness into light To light I woke and saw you there Beside me as before My heart leapt to find you near To feel you close once more To feel your love once more [applause] Your strength has made me strong Though life tore us apart And now when the night seems long Your love shines in my heart Your love shines in my heart [applause] [applause subsides] [applause] IGNAZIO: Grazie mille.
Grazie.
PIERO: Grazie, Andrea.
GIANLUCA: Grazie a tutti.
PIERO: Grazie.
Grazie, Maestro Andrea.
Grazie mille.
[applause] Nessun dorma!
Nessun dorma!
e noi dovrem, ahime, morir!
Dilegua, o notte!
Tramontate, stelle!
Tramontate, stelle!
All'alba vincer!
Vincer!
Vincer!
[applause and cheering] IGNAZIO: Grazie mille.
[applause] GIANLUCA: Grazie!
[applause] This next song was composed, orchestrated and conducted by, of course, Ennio Morricone, and first performed by the Italian singer Mina in 1966.
PIERO: The song was a tremendous hit.
We hope you love it as much as we do it.
IGNAZIO: Ladies and gentlemen, "Se telefonando."
You know, I love challenge myself and reach new achievements.
And tonight I have a little friend that will support me.
Ladies and gentlemen, welcome Julian.
[applause and cheering] Hello, Julian.
[applause] Listen To the song here in my heart A melody I start but can't complete Listen To the sound from deep within It's only beginning to find release Oh, the time has come for my dreams to be heard They will not push me aside and turn Into your all All 'cause you won't listen Listen I am alone at a crossroads I'm not at home in my own home And I've tried and tried to say what's on my mind You should have known, oh Now I'm done believin' you You don't know what I'm feelin' I'm more than what you made of me I found the voice you gave to me But now I've gotta find my own I don't know where I belong But I'll be moving on If you don't, if you won't Ah, listen To the song here in my heart A melody I start but I will complete Oh I'm more than what you gave of me I followed the voice you gave to me But now I've gotta find my own My own My own [applause and cheering] Julian!
[applause and cheering] PIERO: This next song is based on Ennio Morricone's instrumental theme called "Gabriel's Oboe" in the movie "The Mission."
GIANLUCA: We are so glad that Morricone allowed the great Sarah Brightman to put lyrics on the melody, and we are very excited to sing it for you tonight.
IGNAZIO: This is "Nella Fantasia," and tonight we have a very special guest, the great Andrea Griminelli.
In fondo all'anima In fondo all'anima [applause] IGNAZIO: Andrea Griminelli!
[applause] Grazie, Maestro.
[applause] 50 years ago, Elton John wrote a song that completely changed my life.
Tonight I will sing for you one of the most romantic songs of all time.
Ladies and gentlemen, "Your Song."
[applause] It's a little bit funny This feeling inside I'm not one of those who can easily hide Don't have much money but, boy, if I did I'd buy a big house where We both could live If I was a sculptor [chuckles] But then again, no Or a man who makes potions on a traveling show I know it's not much but it's the best I can do My gift is my song, and this one's for you And you can tell everybody This is your song It may be quite simple, but now that it's done I hope you don't mind, I hope you don't mind That I put down in words How wonderful life is while you're in the world I sat on the roof and and I kicked off the moss Well, a few of the verses Well, they've got me quite cross But the sun's been quite kind While I wrote this song It's for people like you that Keep it turned on So excuse me forgetting But these things I do You see, I've forgotten if they're green or they're blue Anyway the thing is, what I really mean Yours are the sweetest eyes I've ever seen And you can tell everybody This is your song It may be quite simple, but now that it's done I hope you don't mind, I hope you don't mind That I put down in words How wonderful life is while you're in the world I hope you don't mind, I hope you don't mind That I put down in words How wonderful life is while you're in, you're in You're in the world You're in the world When you're in the world You're in the world You're in the world Uh-huh [applause and cheering] And this song's for you [applause] [applause] [cheering] Chiudo gli occhi e penso a lei Il profumo dolce della pelle sua una voce dentro che mi sta portando Dove nasce il sole Sole sono le parole Ma se vanno scritte tutto pu cambiare Senza pi timore, te lo voglio urlare Questo grande amore Amore, solo amore quello che sento Dimmi perch quando penso penso solo a te Dimmi perch quando vedo vedo solo te Dimmi perch quando credo credo solo in te Grande amore Dimmi che mai, che non mi lascerai mai Dimmi chi sei, respiro dei giorni miei d'amore Dimmi che sai che solo me sceglierai Ora lo sai Tu sei il mio unico grande amore Passeranno primavere Giorni freddi e stupidi da ricordare Maledette notti perse a non dormire Altre a far l'amore Amore, sei il mio amore Per sempre, per me Dimmi perch quando penso, penso solo a te Dimmi perch quando amo, amo solo te Dimmi perch quando vivo, vivo solo in te Grande amore Dimmi che mai, che non mi lascerai mai Dimmi chi sei respiro dei giorni miei d'amore Dimmi che sai che non mi sbaglierei mai Dimmi che sei Che sei il mio unico grande amore Che sei il mio unico grande amore [applause and cheering] IGNAZIO: Grazie mille!
PIERO: Grazie.
[applause and cheering] GIANLUCA: From the Arena di Verona to "Once Upon A Time In America."
IGNAZIO: We love this song so much, and we decided to record it on our very first album ten years ago.
PIERO: We have a special memory to share with you tonight-- Maestro Ennio Morricone, in a very special concert in Rome, conducted us on stage.
Ladies and gentlemen, "E pi ti penso."
[applause] E pi ti penso e pi mi manchi Ti vedo coi miei occhi stanchi notte fonda penso sempre a te Chiudo gli occhi e penso a te Malgrado tutto, sei la cosa pi importante E mi ritorni in mente dolce come sei Mi chiedo senza te come vivrei E mi rispondo non potessi rivederti Io so gi che farei non vivrei notte fonda e sei lontano Senza di te, ho un vuoto intorno E forse ti ho gi perso ormai Stringo il cuscino, sei qui vicino E pi ti penso e pi mi manchi Son poca cosa senza te Mi sento un pesce che Non ha l'acqua per nuotare Respirare senza te Senza te Senza te E se per caso non potessi rivederti Io so gi che farei morirei [applause] IGNAZIO: Grazie.
GIANLUCA: Grazie.
PIERO: Grazie.
[applause] PIERO: I always dreamed of performing with a special artist that I used to watch on TV performing next to Maestro Pavarotti.
Please welcome Andrea Griminelli.

Here is a song that proves that you don't need many words to craft a powerful song.
PIERO: We think it's fitting perfect to sing this dramatic work in this tribute to Ennio Morricone.
GIANLUCA: Maestro, "Here's To You."
