PROTESTOR: Free them all!
GROUP: Free them all, free them all!
Free them all, free them all!
Free them all, free them all!
SPEAKER: The president is talking about deporting people, but what they're really doing is filling these beds for profit.
We need to denounce that everywhere we go that this is about a quota, it's about politics.
MANIFESTANTE: Aqu est Jeanette!
Here's Jeanette!

AMY: She's one of the founders of the Metro Denver Sanctuary Coalition, and she's helped other undocumented immigrants seek sanctuary.
She's previously won five postponements of deportation, but she doubts she could win a similar reprieve under the Trump administration.
Ahora prndela.
Abajo.
REPORTER: As federal and local officals continue to debate ICE raids of undocumented immigrants, a group of churches has stepped up to provide sanctuary to those in need.
In accordance with he National Sanctuary Collective about 50 families currently have relatives living in sanctuary.
ALISON: Until the deportations stop, we will use sanctuary as this act of resistance.
ANNE: Our faith is not meant for us to be comfortable.
It's meant to be liberating, which is hard and painful.
Transformation is always hard and painful.
We're meant to take risks.
REPORTER: In North Carolina, ICE agents arrested a Mexican immigrant Friday after he emerged from the Durham church where he'd been living in sanctuary for nearly a year.
Samuel Oliver had gone to the ICE office in Raleigh to have his fingerprints taken so he could apply to remain with his wife and son in the US.
PROTESTOR: So why should anyone else come out of sanctuary if all you're gonna do is arrest them when they come out?
HOMBRE: Te quiero mucho, pap.
Aj.
PROTESTORS: Jeanette belongs here!
Jeanette belongs here!
Jeanette belongs here!
Jeanette belongs here!
REPRESENTATIVE: There are very disappointing decisions made by Immigration and Customs Enforcement, so we'll be speaking about that in just a minute.
REPORTER: Thanks.
REPRESENTATIVE: We're very upset, very disappointed and very angry.
ANNE: We walked in and the lobby was full of armed ICE police.
So we were very clear that they were prepared to arrest her on the spot.
Their reasoning is because she didn't appear today.
That's why they denied her stay.
She's on the phone, so she can hear us, and feel us and send her energy.
And I think we should hear from her now.
No importa.
Ahora no soy solo yo.
REPORTER: It's been 15 years since Ingrid bought a stolen Social Security number on the street.
CONGREGATION: We know you to be a good and worthy person.
REPORTER: Inside the Boulder church, supporters gathered around the Peruvian immigrant Sunday at the launch of her campaign, No More Identity Theft.
SPEAKER: The campaign, No More Identity Theft will help others to not make mistakes I made.
REPORTER: Gov.
Hickenlooper's denied Ingrid's first request for a pardon in September of last year.
Now, after this launch, she is asking for that same leniency.
BRYANT: The whole world is all together when I have my mom with me.
We wanted to have a nice life and be able to travel.
Let my mom take me places with my dad, and be with the family all the time.
But what I feel is my mom missing all the fun and the excitement to be with us.
Technically, everyone in America is an immigrant.
They just don't see it yet.
(overlapping chatter) JARED: When you have a legal system surrounding immigration that is so out of touch with the reality on the ground, it's time to fix that system, to have one that has common sense rules and regulations, including border security.
REPORTER: There is a large swath of people who do not sympathize with you, who think there shouldn't be anything routine about this that would like to see more vetting of people regardless of the circumstance.
JARED: Unless this deferral is granted, Janette might have to be here for months or years while she waits for legal status to come through.
PROTESTER: If immigrant rights are under attack, what do we do?
GROUP: Stand up, fight back!
PROTESTOR: Stand up!
GROUP: Fight back!
PROTESTOR: Stand up!
GROUP: Fight back!
PROTESTOR: Stand up!

PROTESTORS: Who's house?
GROUP: Our house!
PROTESTORS: Who's house?
GROUP: Our house!
GALLO: So my mom has been going through this trouble of getting threatened and us getting scared by ICE.
It's not like we're all different.

Immigrants are welcome here.

REPORTER: We saw tears of joy outside of Denver Church as Jeanette Vizguerra comes out of hiding.
ICE granted her a temporary stay that allows her now to remain in the U.S.
with her kids.

REPORTERO: Vamos bien.
REPORTERA: As es.
JEANETTE: A verte?
Ya estamos, princesita.
Ya ponte crema en los cachetes, okay?
Ah, yo noms vi cmo le... Ay, el diente as!
LUNA: Stop gulping!
TRAINER: Five, six.
Come on, let's go.
Four... Happy birthday to you.
Happy birthday... PATRON: Where did you get these?
INGRID: Well this from Peru.
PATRON: Okay, from Peru?
INGRID: Yes.
FRIEND: Congratulations!
INGRID: Oh, thank you!
FRIEND: It's wonderful!
And it's a girl!
INGRID: Yeah.
I'm excited.
(crosstalk and chatter) Oh, thank you.
KELLY: Mother's Day honors the contributions of all women and it reminds us of our values, peace and justice for all.
And that leads me to Ingrid, our sanctuary guest.
Two weeks ago, she asked that the congregation be told her big news, she's pregnant!
(silence from congregation) KELLY: Yay!
And many people in the congregation have expressed their excitement about this news and some aren't so sure.
Several people have asked Ingrid directly why she didn't have an abortion.
Others have asked her why she didn't use birth control.
Others are wondering if it's going to cost the church more money.
How will she deliver the baby?
Can she go to the hospital if she can't leave the church?
But it's complex and it's not my decision in this case.
It's Ingrid's.
And I'm telling you, it is easy to be tempted to advise Ingrid, and it's not our place to do so.
And instead we commit to struggle together, apologize and take responsibility as a community to unlearn our patterns of dominance, like taking charge, rushing to decisions, and either/or thinking.
FRIEND: I just...
KELLY: The idea of justice is a lot more fun and easy than the actual doing it.
And it's not easy.
It's long, it's hard.
None of us wants her to stay here forever.
For the most part just some amazing, beautiful relationships that have been created.
Lots of friendships and a lot of advocacy work to work on her case.
Now, I don't pretend to think that everyone in this congregation is excited about this way of doing justice.
With a sanctuary guest, this is not work that can be done from the mind, from the intellect.
It has to be done from the heart.
SPEAKER: And for more than 140 years, we have been and continue to be...
No, no, seores.
ARNIE: I think we all are aware of the truth that the wealth and the power in this country is built on immigrants.
So imagine you're standing in front of your church.
You're so glad to be there at a church where you're loved, where you're wanted.
But then you remember the land where your church is standing where you're standing belongs to everyone.
And someone comes and walks right past you into the church seeking safety.
They don't have to ask permission.
They don't even have to say thank you or I'm grateful. They're only claiming what is theirs.
Thank you.
JEANNETTE: Thank you, Arnie.
In this moment, I only have three weeks.
Three weeks to finish my stay remove.
And in this moment I need have one security space ready for me another time.
This administration maybe try arrest me after finish my stay.
And the same the last time maybe I need a... take sanctuary one week early.
ARNIE: Last time when Jeanette was in sanctuary to some points we were so eager to help that we've stomped all over Jeanette in, in, in process of trying to help her.
And we need to make sure we listen and, to Jeanette, and let Jeanette be our leader um... and, and not, we're not here to save the day, we're here to be, accompany Jeanette.
And make this world better for all of us.
MICAH: By the ninth, we need the room ready, we need to have had a volunteer training.
We'll need volunteers for overnights and drivers for some mornings?
Or all morning... JEANNETTE: Maybe some mornings.
MICAH: Some mornings, ok.
We'll need to recruit a rapid response team.
JEANETTE: Good to see you.
ARNIE: Good to see you, too.
Thank you for everything.
JEANETTE: Yeah, you be careful.
I need you.
ARNIE: Thank you.
Hola.
MUJER: Ay, qu s.
Ya, anda!
Ahora, ahora s te has engordado otro!
INGRID: Por qu?
MUJER: Todo esto, esto, esto.
INGRID: Pues todo.
Ni modo que siga flaca.
Ay... S, no.
Yo s engordo mucho, mira.
MUJER: Guau!
Si yo me quedo aqu en Per, no voy a poder ayudar a mis padres o a mis hermanos, y dije: "Por qu no irme a Estados Unidos?".
Falta que se verdure esto.
Ves?
Tiene verdura ac.
Ah estn los chiles, mira.
Ah est man igual.
Este es alite.
Okay.
INGRID: Este pas nos brinda... HIJO: Este, Freddy?
How are you?
FRIEND: You're walking around, sweet.
JEANETTE: Yeah.
GROUP: You can sing me anything.
The book of love is long and boring.
And written very long ago It's full of flowers and heart-shaped boxes And things we're all too young to know INGRID: Pues, primeramente, buenos das.
Y aqu sigo parada y no me voy a rendir.
Thank you so much.
S se puede!
SPEAKER: Let's go.
(chanting inaudibly) GROUP: No papers, no fear... (chanting inaudibly) GROUP: No papers, no fear... INGRID: A baby inside.
Grande, verdad?
Chiquita.
MUJER 1: Cmo ests?
MUJER 2: Estaba en McDonald's el beb.
INGRID: S.
FRIEND: Where would you... (inaudible chatter) KATHY: And it still works, doesn't it?
All right, good deal!
Does it have water from last year?
-No.
-Good, good.
Okay, guys.
Okay.
All right.
LUNA: It goes this way, put it on right.
CHILD: I'll do it.
NIA: Gallo!
LUNA: Cmo ests menso!
(inaudible chatter) GROUP: We are many, we are one.
Pos, ella dice: "Cuando yo no estoy, abraza a mi mueco".
INGRID: Cmo ests?
S.
Cmo ests?
(baby coos) Mira, mira, mira, mira, mira, mira!
Bum!
Bum!
Eres bien vaga, verdad?

I'm so happy right now.
MUJER: Hjole!
Felicidades!
JOE: Her courage, her bravery and her perseverance is ultimately, in my view, what led to that pardon being granted.
And so Ingrid, we thank you.
No lloro.

Ingrid is not able to work and there are still expenses for her family.
And so this money is gonna go for her so that she can live just like all of us are needing to do during this time.

Cmo he podido aguantar?

GROUP: Free them all, free them all!
Free them all, free them all!
Free them all, free them all...
