WEDC To Let Members See Contract Before Vote

Now for another state capitol update and a look ahead to next week’s vote on the $3 billion Foxconn deal. Amid growing pressure including from Republican leaders of the state Senate and Assembly to make the process transparent, the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation announced today it would allow its board members to see the contract with Foxconn before casting their vote on the deal. That vote is expected next Wednesday. According to WEDC, the contract will be made available to the public after it has been signed.
