In other news, the so-called gold standard of jobs numbers came out late this week. The quarterly numbers released by the US Labor Department show Wisconsin is 37th nationally in new job creation, adding 28,141 private sector jobs in 2013, the lowest annual job growth so far in Scott Walker's administration. Still, Wisconsin’s unemployment rate dropped to 5.7% in May, the lowest it's been since October, 2008.
