In preparation for next week’s primary, candidates filed their latest fund-raising numbers with the GAB. Those numbers showed Governor Scott Walker out-raised his Democratic challenger, Mary Burke. From July 1 until the 28th the governor raised $1.2 million while Burke raised about half a million dollars. The Walker campaign now has $7.1 million in cash on hand compared to Burke’s $1.7 million. As for the Democrats running for attorney general, Jon Richards has about $167,000 cash on hand, Susan Happ has almost $132,000 and Ismael Ozanne has almost $8,000. The winner of the August 12th primary will face Waukesha County district attorney, Brad Schimel, a Republican who has $418,000 cash on hand.
