Chief Justice Shirley Abrahamson at the Inauguration

While we were covering the inauguration, we noticed Wisconsin Supreme Court chief justice, Shirley Abrahamson, leaned in to whisper a word to the governor right after his oath of office. We wondered what she said.

Scott Walker:

The chief justice confirms she talked budget following the governor’s oath of office. She says he smiled and they laughed about it. The budget request for state courts includes $8.6 million a year to counties for circuit courts and $2.1 million toward an e-filing system for the courts.
