What about transportation funding? The majority not inclined to borrow so much for it.
Chris Taylor:
What I hope happens is we look at recommendations that came out of a bipartisan task force that made some recommendations for revenues. I think we have to look at all sources of revenues, because the bonding is not sustainable. We are going to be paying just in interest over a billion dollars. Just in interest payments on transportation heading into this next biennium. We have to look at things like raising the registration fees, which my Republican colleagues are willing to do. There’s a lot of recommendations that were made. There were a lot of proposals in Secretary Gottlieb’s proposal to the Governor that we’re looking at. I think we have to find revenue streams. We fund transportation on a much more narrow revenue stream than most other states. That’s not sustainable. We need to look at all revenue sources and figure out a way to make our system sustainable.
