It has been an emotional Thanksgiving week for the community of Waukesha. The driver of an SUV charged in connection with the deaths of at least six people and injuries to dozens more. People who were attending a downtown Christmas parade last Sunday. Bail was set at $5 million for 39-year-old Darrell Brooks of Milwaukee. The criminal complaint states it was clear Brooks intended to strike and hurt as many people as possible after barreling through barricades at the annual parade held in the heart of the city on Main Street. To help its community heal, city officials shut down schools, and some government services until next week. They are also offering grief counseling to anyone who needs help. Governor Tony Evers ordered flags at half-staff across the state. Waukesha and Wisconsin in mourning.
