Oh, my gosh!
This is my first time at the Royal Albert Hall.
[ Cheers and applause ] I am so grateful and so thankful to you, London, for supporting this journey over the past couple of years.
It's been a beautiful rollercoaster, and you've been with me every step of the way.
I'm so grateful and so honored to be here with all of you tonight.
We would like to start off with a song -- it's one of my favorites -- arranged by trumpeter Jason Charos and Andrew Cottee.
This is one off of my most recent album, "Portrait."
And it's dedicated to each and every one of you, not only for supporting me on this journey, but for making this dream right here a reality.
This is "You Stepped Out of a Dream."
[ Cheers and applause ] You stepped out of a dream You are too wonderful To be what you seem Could there be eyes like yours?
Could there be lips like yours?
Could there be smiles like yours Honest and truly?
You stepped out of a cloud And I want to take you away from the crowd And have you all to myself Alone and apart Out of a dream Safe in my heart Safe Sa-a-a-a-afe [ Trumpet solo ] [ Scatting ] [ Scatting ] [ Cheers and applause ] [ Piano solo ] [ Cheers and applause ] [ Scatting ] [ Vocalizing ] [ Scatting ] You-u-u-u-u Stepped out of a cloud And I want to take you away from the crowd And have you all to myself Alone and apart Out of a dream Safe in my heart [ Vocalizing ] Safe London, you're safe in my heart Out of a dream Safe Out of a dream Safe, sa-a-a-fe Sa-a-a-a-a-fe [ Vocalizing ] Safe In my hea-a-a-a-rt [ Cheers and applause ] Thank you very much.
[ Laughs ] Jason Charos on the trumpet.
[ Cheers and applause ] Connor Rohrer on the piano.
[ Cheers and applause ] [ Laughs ] Thank you.
Thank you.
Now we would like to do a song for you, one of my favorites, recorded by the great Sarah Vaughan and written by Erroll Garner.
This is "Misty."
Look at me I'm as helpless as a kitten up a tree And I feel like I'm clingin' to a cloud I can't understand I get misty Just holding your hand Walk my way And a thousand violins begin to play Might be the sound of your hello That music I hear I get misty whenever you're near Can't you see that you're leading me on?
And it's just what I want you to do Don't you notice how hopelessly I'm lost?
That's why I'm following you Following you On my own Would I wander through this wonderland alone Never knowing my right foot from my left My hat from my glove?
I'm too misty I get misty I get misty And too much in love [ Drumbeats ] [ Tempo increases ] Look at me I'm as helpless as a kitten up a tree And I feel like I'm clingin' to a cloud I can't understand I get misty Just holding your hand Walk my way And a thousand violins begin to play It might be the sound of your hello That music I hear I get misty whenever you're near Can't you see that you're leading me on?
But it's just what I want you to do Don't you notice, don't you notice How hopelessly I am lost?
That's why I'm following you You-u-u-u On my own Would I wander through this wonderland alone Never, never knowing my right foot from my left My hat from my glove?
I get misty And too much in lo-o-o-ve I get misty And too much I-I-I-I-I-n lo-o-o-o-o-ve I-I-I-I-I-n lo-o-o-o-o-ve [ Vocalizing ] [ Cheers and applause ] Thank you very much.
[ Laughs ] Thank you.
That was arranged and orchestrated by bassist Paul Sikivie.
[ Cheers and applause ] Now we would like to do a song for you, once again recorded by many, including my favorite, Sarah Vaughan.
This is called "Lover Man."
[ Chuckles ] I don't know why But I'm feeling so sad I long to try Something I've never had Never had no kissin' What I've been missin' Lover man, oh, where can you be?
The night is cold And I'm so all alone I'd give my soul Just to call you my own Got a moon above me But no one to love me Lover man, oh, where can you be?
I've heard it said That the thrill of romance can be Be like a heavenly dream I-I-I-I I go to bed with a prayer that you'll make Make love to me Strange as it seems Someday, someday we'll meet And you'll dry all my tears Whisper sweet Little things in my ear A-hugging and a-kissing What I've been missing Lover man, oh, where can you be?
[ Saxophone solo ] I've heard it said [ Applause ] That the thrill of romance Can be like a heavenly dream I go to bed With a prayer That you'll make love to me Strange as it seems Someday we'll meet And you'll dry all my tears And whisper Whisper sweet Little things in my ear A-hugging and a-kissing Oh, what I've been missing Lover man, oh, where Can you be-e-e-e?

We would like to begin now with a song inspired by Miss Betty Carter.
And, you know, we sing lots of songs about falling in love, but this more of a warning when it comes to such a thing because it can be quite dangerous, you know?
So, without further adieu, the song is simply called... Beware My heart You're getting in too deep Take care Take care, my heart This is a bit too steep Do-o-o-n't Listen to the lilt of his boyish laughter Or you will cry for it Forever after After Beware, my heart Beware of violins in the night For when he is, when he is near The violins are loaded with dynamite And you, you, you You can never finish a dream That wasn't meant to start So beware Take care, my hea-a-a-rt Take care, my hea-a-a-rt [ Vocalizing ] [ Vocalizing continues ] [ Cheers and applause ] [ Saxophone solo ] [ Vocalizing ] [ Trumpet solo ] [ Cheers and applause ] Be-e-wa-a-a-re You're getting in too deep Take, take Take care, take care Take care, my heart For this is a bit too steep Do-o-o-n't Listen to the lilt The lil, the lilt of his boyish laughter For you will cry for it Forever after Beware Beware my heart Beware of violins in the night For when he When he is near The violins are loaded with dynamite And you-u-u-u Can never finish a dream That wasn't meant to start So beware Take care, my Hea-a-a-a-rt [ Vocalizing ] Be Be, be Beware Beware Beware, beware Beware Be-e-e-e-e Be-e-e-ware My heart [ Cheers and applause ] Thank you very much.
