Double Dummy
double dummy to play as if you know all the cards. the bridge of the most interesting game in the world I play bridge about 12 hours a week and I go home and I change into a sweat suit and and sit down and in 30 seconds. I have a game Bridge is first and foremost a partnership game. There's really almost no better feeling than to win a big event with a partner that you know, and love and know that you did it together the older you get the list.
See now you are if you play bridge also, Because it does it keeps your mind very very sharp. My husband had Alzheimer's and then I lost him and bridged really what saved me and all of that. I say one still better at my but some day. I'll be better than him.
it when I tell people that I play bridge. Their first sort of image that I can tell pops into their head is me sitting around in a nursing home with three little ladies gossiping about whatever and that's how bridge is portrayed in the media that that's how you know, a lot of people see the game if you know anything about the card game Bridge, you know, it's not easy. In fact, it can take years to master. It's Saint George's Duplicate Bridge Club in Port Richey.
There are several good players, but one stands out from the others Adam Kaplan is only 10 years old. I am able to walk out a lot of the positions mathematically. And it's also I just also have a lot of fun. I have a picture of Adam when he was seven years old.
He was sleeping upstairs and he gathered all these books. To read for bed, but they weren't like Dr. Seuss or any of that. They were a bridge book a Monopoly rules book and a bridge magazine.
I learned how to play bridge when I was five. I was on a cruise with the rest of my family. I was watching my father and my grandfather playing and then there was a cruise director that was there Ruth Hornets. Then she said well you're interested in learning how to play and he said sure So she gave him like a little lesson and said come back tomorrow and well, obviously he was back in like one minute Adam is something of a legend in junior Bridge.
He became America's youngest ever life master at the age of 10 before most even learned the game. He is also won multiple medals in international competitions including winning the trials for the junior World Tournament. Adam is N't, the only exciting youngster on this. Junior's renown Youth bridge program the Jang brothers were added as a third pair to the USA one team for the promise.
They've shown in spite of their age the first summer camp that Atlantic Junior Bridge ever had Richard Andrew came to it. And I taught it Richard at the time couldn't even hold the cards. He didn't want to use the a card holder, but he couldn't fan the cards in his hand because his hands were too small. So he'd be doing this he'd be going.
Their mother told me that she feels like this is been very good for their relationship that it's something they can do together that they both enjoy that the age difference doesn't matter within the two. Richard what's your favorite thing to do outside of bridge and school? my favorite thing we first read about Adam Kaplan in the bridge magazine and it showed how he attained the youngest life master rank. Bishop kind of looked up to him.
So he wanted to attain his drink nowadays. I'm traveling 20 to 25 weeks a year usually playing bridge and some of it professionally some of it with friends and some of it somewhere in between. Adam was very cool about it when I beat his record picture. Because he did not have to take the pressure of holding the title of being young life master Richard beat Adam by a whopping six months and his Partners Richard and his older brother Andrew won a national pair event.
The final pair on the team is a very different set of Brothers. Hello, Adam, you came home just as all the chores are done. Nice job, very nicely done. I'm Jory grossack mother of Adam and Zachary.
Grossack Adam Zachary and quite the bridge player in my own, right? I love the game. I introduce my sons to the game. I teach bridge I play bridge and I'm enjoying it.
Yeah, there is hope for the younger generation. He used to be weird when I have to tell my friends on a Saturday night or Friday night that I can't hang out because I have to go to a bridge Turner right? Like eventually they got used to it though and what gave you the idea to involve our children in this? I didn't know him.
I didn't involve him. Why would you think to involve children so rich I used to make him do a lot of things they hated. Yeah for younger brother Zack. The upcoming tournament is a chance to prove himself on the world stage.
Adam is a veteran of international youth competitions. This year is his last chance to win a medal in the under-21 teams. So every two years there's a world youth Team Championship. Okay this year.
It's in Shanghai near Shanghai, right and they advice to send five teams. In the youngsters category officially known as the under-21 series the US has never won a medal. They're hoping to change that this year, but it's quite amazing that neither of you play. That's like I don't play this.
Oh Really boring, but yeah, not for me. Because of its size do United States is allowed two teams in each event. The USA one team the winners of the end country qualification are much more experienced than their USA 2 counterparts in the previous World Championship held two years ago. The US missed out on qualification by just half a point Adam Kaplan and Adam grossack were Partners on that team.
They have each sense found new partners. For Adam grossack his younger brother Zach for Adam Kaplan an experienced youth player named Zach bruscoll. That's right. Both Adams have Partners named Zach.
And of course a big thanks to Bob ham and one of the greatest players ever.
For how many years Bob I'll embarrass you by asking that 21
21 years is the greatest player but not consecutive is like when I started playing bridge, which was summer of 57. I was younger than the average age of the bridge League. About five years ago. I went in front of the AC Deal Board.
And I said the problem is I still am it's held to be king without a kingdom. All right gang. You know, you're gonna have bad results, you know, you're gonna have misunderstandings. You guys screw hands up in ways that you can't even believe it's gonna happen.
It happens at all levels of the game. to all players what's important is what happens next? And you got to forget about it. There will be time enough to think about it.
Later. And that really is what it's all about play hard and play good and get a little bit of luck your chances of doing very well are quite good. Thank you guys, go get them. While the United States has won four gold medals in the under-26 age group that dominance has not extended to the under-21 series.
I am pleased and honored to welcome you all to the 14th worldview Team Championships. This is also a pleasure to experience once more the traditional Hospitality of our host country China. USA 17 national teams are here in pursuit of a gold medal over the next six days USA one will face off against each team in a grueling round. Robin.
Then there's the knockout stage and only the top eight will qualify the skill level amongst the teams varies widely Poland won the European qualifying tournament and has done. So each of the last five times they are also this event's defending Champion Israel finish second in the European qualifying and has a strong youth Bridge tradition. Okay, we are working this with this machine who has a reader most card games rely on the luck of the draw but bridge is different in this tournament. The cards are pre-delt before play even Begins for this part and with this box who called boards and this card put the right card in the right position.
So no is west and south and we prepare a set for every table. So every player at the same possibility to win every table in the entire room will be playing the exact same 16 deals like in golf where each player has to play all 18 holes. USA wants first match of the tournament is against Singapore. In his brief of manner possible.
Tell us how we play the game of bridge. That's really hard question. You are sitting down across from your friend and some time opponent. If you're not on the same page and you're communicating back and forth about both the strength of your hand the 13 cards that you've been dealt as well as the links of the various suits that you hold in your hand and your opponents who are sitting opposite you are doing exactly the same thing.
And during the bidding phase of the game, you're basically competing to get to see which suit will be the most important in the hand after that bidding is complete every single player at the table. We'll play one card at a time. And the person with the highest rank of the suit that was led will win What's called the trick? The idea of the game is simply as possible is to take as many tricks as you can.
teams consist of six players in three pairs only two pairs play at a time Hopefully by now, you know, which atom is which? Hint Adam grossack plays with his brother each match teams. Send their two pairs to play at two different tables once it's north south and the other East-West. A deal is made up of the entire deck of 52 cards in the same deal is played at each table.
This means that the player sitting North holds the same 13 cars as the opposing player the one who sits North at the other table. So if North has the Queen of Diamonds every North has the Queen of Diamonds every West has the same hand as every West and so on the difference in scores at each table are added up after the round deal by deal. Each deal and score is broadcast live publicly. Richard is able to follow the play of his teammates in the viewgraph theater, when he and his brother are sitting out like almost all others pose the players playing there do not know whether they win or lose until the moment they exit the room and then when they compare with that teammates only then they can know whether they win or lose.
This project myself plus 15 20. So this is really strange. It's something like playing football and you don't know whether you win or lose but all the spectators know whether you win or lose this scoring method is known as International match points or amps for sure amps are then converted into victory points and it's your team's total victory points that determines your place in the top eight in the first match USA 1 emerges with the maximum score 25 victory points and a spot at the top of the leaderboard. While things started well for USA one they soon ran into trouble when facing a confident Israeli team the Americans got out to an early lead.
But were let down in the end by their bidding. Unlike in poker players don't bid money. They bid to determine which suit if any is the most valuable. This is known as the Trump suit.
A trump will win against any other suit. So even the two of Trumps will beat the ace of a different suit. players use bidding cards to represent their bids bids give information about their hand. Allowing the partnership to figure out how strong their combined hands are and which suit to bid as trumps.
The higher you bid the more tricks you need to take. If you succeed this is known as making your contract. The higher you bid the more points. You can earn if you make your contract with high bids comes more risk, if you fail to take all your tricks, if you fail to make your contract the bigger your opponents score.
So when Zack grossack bids six Spades, he's saying he'll take book which is six tricks plus six more if Spades are trumps when he only made six tricks total the Israelis set or defeated him and won a massive score. At the other table the jangs bid for no Trump Contracting or bedding. They could make 10 tricks if there were no Trump suit when they were able to make 12 tricks. It was clear that they should have bit higher.
Had they bid six not Trump Contracting for those 12 tricks. They would have more than doubled their score by earning a slam bonus thus making up for the Lost points at the other table as it was Israel won 12 imps on the deal and left the match with a decisive win. With five more days of qualifying ahead USA 1 couldn't afford to lose moment. What happened?
So you have it on which board? Yeah, what one you know talking about how try getting that exactly. Okay, exactly 13 years. Okay, it's enough that with that you're searching is just Right try getting it in a bidding Company.
Please. Don't listen to them. I said, oh no, that's like you're being recorded. I know I know I just a little harder.
All right - 13 you are here you Diamond time and I'm in space clubs I could have taken one more track. Yeah, I had a bad head. I had a bad head don't get our relationship started. Actually when Anna was seven years old.
I used to joke with Adam that we should have a sign when we went played in tournaments, and it said I'm nine years old. We're not related and I'm home school. Because the three questions we always ask is how old are you is he your grandfather? And how do you get out of school?
It was hard when we first realized how different Adam was he didn't like to go out? every day he was miserable. I mean I figured the kid I was gonna go out and have a catch with and play football and play baseball and those kinds of things with and that didn't happen. You know, I was not happy about that.
But the amazing thing is as a social as he is special amongst kids. He lights up and is at ease around growing ups and older people and I guess he feels like a grown up and all the person I'm Jenny Carmichael. I'm from Kennesaw Georgia, which is the suburb of Atlanta. And I'm npcing the girls team.
Tom Carmichael is my husband. He is here npcing the USA team won the stiff. He took a Spain against Queen of Diamonds. Wow.
So Outsiders the language sounds completely foreign and oftentimes can sound even a little bit dirty if they're just hearing people talk about strip squeezes and finesse and I mean the whole language I don't know where they came up with all of their terms. Vanessa was unfortunate. I granted we did have a bit of a mix-up but I mean, I'm not lucky right. I mean I'm happy to be in that plan given to a lay person Bridge terminology can seem impenetrable.
What was your option of the club three diamonds has five clubs fast, and I wasn't really sure so I just passed Five Guys Five Guys. To our auction was they opened five clubs and I went past I've already six clubs the two fastest back to me and I bit six done. Yes. How did you get out for things too?
They love the Easter hearts and another heart and I won the jack in my hand and the king at Island. Yeah, and for some reason they don't so now I was able to play heart heart shedding my spade and rough two of my clubs of dummy going up and I got out for free. Last few days. I haven't been that great.
We were six going into today. We're still we're still pretty comfortable in terms of qualifying with the Kos. But as we're talking for better the first time in a few days here, both repairs really had good cards in both tables. Out of the two of you who makes the most mistakes I make the most mistakes and Richard who makes the most mistakes he does.
To being a partnership. You have to be in a mutual understanding. You can't have any hatred or animosity between you two and you just have to make sure you're on the same page and Basically, if something wrong happens, you just have to accept it and just move on imagine we know is like almost double down. It was not that one you had nine different lines because you know want to play.
He's king and a heart says Ducks. No, you had a squeeze you had more way. I did now on the way yesterday. It's very different.
I I tone it down. He's a place where I I've been normally where you know calls for normal bidding but in places where like people Usually just been normally I like the spice it up. But I like to bid a little more that s#*#*#*. I really and it works it works it unbelievably well works.
It works unbelievably. Well people don't understand how well this works. I had the results. There's a lot of pressure on the pressure.
I don't know not to know whether he's just like betting his hand or whether he's back bidding his hand. He's used to playing with old ladies at the club and people who aren't unable to bid their cards properly people who underage tremendously and he just bumps it up all the time. He has to realize he's playing with someone who has some someone the problem is doing works when I started taking bridge lessons 15 or so years ago. I had no idea what kind of a snowball the fact that was going to create within my family and and to have You know superstar-ish kids in it is just extraordinary.
I had like in the two of them to two great baseball players. So I said that Adam was like Wade Boggs amazing average steady doesn't make a mistake always gets on picks away you picks away you and is technically like perfect. Zachary is more like David Ortiz in his Heyday who will swing for the fantas usually hit it out in spectacular fashion or strike out. I mean people who play bridge and really study the game and work at it absolutely love bridge and they see that there's this great great Gem of a game and a skill that people can have In the US, we have a lot more really good players than the other countries.
So the competition they get to play against is in general much stronger. So they've got a lot of experience on the team. If you look at the good Junior results in this country, most of the players the teenagers, they're all from the Atlanta not all but most of them are the Bridge Community Atlanta is an older community in general just like most of bridge Nationwide but in Atlanta, we're doing something about it. The YMCA is part of the Atlanta Junior Bridge summer camp program Evelyn Guillard and Barbara Sosa run it we have a thriving youth Community that's been playing for about six years.
Now more kids are playing every year. We're working at getting bridge in the schools. So our our numbers in age are going down. We're perhaps Mother people other areas might be going up.
Remember when your partner is winning? You're also winning. That it is a common equalizer. You don't have to know the person young.
Oh doesn't matter. I met Patty at a tournament, I guess about five years ago. And when she told me about this program, I mean you could just see the excitement that Patty had and and it was like, I don't care what happens this program is going to work Patty is it? And she is the one who beats the bushes and she's the one who encouraged us, and we're here really because of Patty Patty and she has been just too supportive.
Even though sometimes it can be difficult to get Concepts across or you find yourself looking into the sea of blank stairs where nobody quite got what you meant that time the joy when the light bulb goes off when you get that look and with the oh, yeah now I understand. It just makes my day. Okay, good morning, everyone. You may start now two hours 20 minutes.
Thank you fridge at the highest level is played with screens. In the past players have tried to cheat by giving signals to their partner anything from hand gestures to toe Taps to well-timed coughing fits. The screens limit communication to just bidding and gameplay itself. Any good partnership needs to be able to exchange information legally?
Bridge is after all a game of communication and connection. My family my dad's place and my sister plays in our kids place. So when we were together, we just have two generations playing with my own son. Who's now 15 years old.
I taught him and it's just a fantastic thing to be able to share with my son to play Bluetooth my parents play and me and my brother learned at vacation when there was nothing else to do really so it was sort of forced. Must be in the team photo. Have a friend that was joking with me before I left saying why are you playing bridge? It's for old women and I said well, you should have come you should see all the young ladies here and he says well, you should have thought me and I said I've tried, you know, the stereotype isn't always correct if you Ahmed come and say hello.
You see Egypt. Hello, my name israelian. Usually we're not supposed to be friends, but we're going out together. Yeah and drinking together and sitting together and if you Every night is the same the youngest come and attack.
So we have to Revenge now. Ready? I guess you see him tomorrow best wishes. This is the last qualifying day.
We've got three rounds to go in the three events and most of the events that qualifies are fairly clear cut in the youngsters. Basically seven teams are safe and England and Italy are battling for the last qualifying spot. Yeah. And we needed.
Again, because right now we're forward to just technically a bad strategy position because the knockout round you get a pick and fourth doesn't really get a pick because first second and third already picked so you can only you only have one option left here take that team. So we
had to increase our ranking and it's 4
30 is 11. So that's a hundred windy 5
plus 280 with no. It's a 3
30 today. Okay. okay, I alright almost I checked out what happened like Make the top three which is kind of my goal for the whole round robin to begin with. It's still inside.
It's a very good. In the last match of the round. Robin USA one crushed Chinese Taipei 97 to nothing. today Poland beat France 67 to 27 to win the round robin.
We were losing 19 2011 at last four boards. We made six point six point seven point eight points, and we want at the last floor that's more and it's incredible and I am very happy. USA one scored 25 victory points in both of their final day matches giving them the third choice of opponents for The Knockout face. We decide to pick Australia or other option was Israel Israel.
We had a bad carryover against you know, how we played in the round robin. We played each of these teams. Once we lost them which means that when we play them in the quarterfinal stage. Yeah that we we they start off with the small lead for Israel who lost to big our carryover is minus the max we lose we give them 10.
We beat them. Oh still okay in the but doesn't matter. No, it does one third. Nope, I promise but since we beat that one, we wouldn't be giving them 10.
We giving them 10. No we wouldn't did you look no. If we're playing as USA one who have won very strong pair on their team Kaplan and Greco you're playing a complex method matchup wise our guys have all played against a sort of thing before so they won't be put off by that Adam Zach are having an exceptional tournament. There's thing called The Butler and that compares each individual pair.
Not as a team, right and there are in second place out of everyone here. So they're definitely producing the best one of the some of the best results out of everyone here and you guys around already as the youngest pair in the entire tournament. The Jang brothers are not nearly as intimidating as they're more accomplished teammates. On board one the Australians challenged the Young Americans by doubling their bid betting the brothers aren't able to make as many tricks as they claim.
The jangs proved the Aussies wrong and win a swing. Not Having learned their lesson the Australians double Richard on the 10th board and he makes his contract easily. on board 13 Andrew bids five diamonds betting he can make 11 tricks with this hand. Convince the youngsters can't possibly do it again.
The Australians double in making contract an astonishing third time. But the boys don't falter. When the Australians fail to lead a diamond Andrew seizes the opportunity making his 11 tricks and proving the Janks can be just as formidable as their teammates, you know, it's certainly what we want to do is jump out at the gate takeaway, you know make them to be the ones chase us posted the other way around they're playing Australia and doing extremely well they're winning comfortably so we just keep it up as long as they just play sensibly they're gonna win now. That we really think that they can go the whole way.
We want to see them win the gold. hoping Well as we still got a lot of work too talk about that. I mean we haven't won our match today and we're very good shape and it's hard to lose 60 m s on the 14 points photographer 60th with 16, but it's not impossible. It has been done before but I just hoping for not a repeat today Poland, you know was dominating and you know one so soundly in the round robin dropped like 50 60 amps the first quarter so you know now We still have to play a little bit better.
We have lots of that like but then we systematically do it better and better. Poland the events defending Champion methodically worked their way back against the upstart English before blitzing the Brits in the fourth quarter to earn a decisive win. We were soft. Now we we go we are going to win.
but before I think I will stay here. Don't come back home to Poland. Yes eight place is with me. It was then that yeah for beer.
You know USA one finished the job and defeated, Australia. They'll now face Israel in the semis in a rematch of their big loss on day one. If we're gonna beat the US, of course. my question about In the first quarter of the semifinal Israel jumps out to a big lead.
We had a good match because we took 800 on the last part which is good. Very good score two games that might not have been there. Then other table we do our best and I we hope to it see the final Israel keeps the pressure on in the second quarter increasing their lead to 56 amps at the half USA 1 is an exactly the same position as their Australian opponents the day before you can know that you know, you know, what's going on in the sport. I have no idea what's going on fade.
You know, what's going on? They have no idea. You could have a safe space, you know, stop you open King Jack empty king Jackie help too hard and then you open and send me salt too. Yeah too hard.
That's just no and I think we have Israel right where we want them boys for our very big comeback. We're not worry. We're gonna do it. when people need to start swinging they will in the third session the US finally starts to turn things around cutting the Israeli lead nearly in half.
We were down how many before this set. I think we're down one time. So 54. I think that's 56.
Okay. Is that we're down 30 that's a manageable number. When bidding Adam and Zach use an unusually complex strategy raising suspicions from their Israeli opponents director. The Israeli player calls a tournament official to make sure what they're doing is legal.
The official determines no rules have been broken and allows play to continue. has a decision to make He's declaring six hearts. So Hearts is the Trump suit. And he can only afford to lose one Trump.
given the state of the match he decides to do something drastic. an expert would say play the ace of hearts. And then low to the Ten of hearts. But Zach is betting the Israelis are Savvy enough to make that play.
So he purposely does the opposite. Exact plays the queen. If his opponent plays the king. The us will lose even more points and Israel's lead will become unbeatable.
But if the Jack appears he will have stolen the slam. the US wins 13 ends Two boards later the Israeli. Defender makes an aggressive opening lead allowing Zach grosack to make three no Trump. Down 10 USA 1 wins a part score swing a small wind.
Now they're down three. On the 51st board Zack grossack opens the bidding one no Trump. This typically shows that a player has at least two cards in every suit, but Zach makes the audacious bid not worried about his Singleton King. Adam it's two diamonds in response which in their methods is code for having at least five hearts.
Nearly all of the time when one's partner bids two diamonds the other side bids two hearts. That's what players are supposed to do. But Zach sees an opportunity for a big score. So he pushes his hand to the max by bidding two no-trump.
Adam is happy to go for the game bonus. The final contract is four hearts. Meaning Zach and Adam need to take at least 10 tricks and hearts are trumps. Zach's best chance is if each of his opponents have exactly the three diamonds no more and no less.
The opening lead is the seven of Spades. Which Zach wins with dummy's Ace? He plays a heart to his Queen and North's King. North Returns the three of Spades Which sack wins with dummies Queen?
Now it's time to test the diamonds. Zack plays the ace then the king. and a third diamond he is able to Trump his opponents queen with the seven of hearts. When his right hand opponent proves to have three diamonds Zach scamble pays off.
Contract is now ice cold. USA 1 wins 12 amps netting a game swing and taking the lead for the first time since the sixth board. There are still four boards to play. Now with his compatriots watching it all comes down to Adam Kaplan I think ones are right six hearts possible to make on stand on South.
Well, there you go. I'm just kind words. So what's up? What does diamonds so Tender Hearts?
Oh, yeah with the ten Apartments. So it's a technology. Thank you actually have a chance here. So if you win the heart.
That's one spin. That's it. I'm not sure but if there's any chance, you know, those guys are fine you let us Spade actually. Supposed to yeah, 14 what you doing left work?
Shut up. I just 12 plus 400 win another student over the last 13 Boards of competition. The US team won 74 amps to Israel's 0 us has made it to the finals here. I've had some excited come back to myself and certain things among the most amazing I've ever seen they started off by losing 12 in the first year already down 30 A 42 to make up and they never scored another if I mean, we just went out of 10.
I mean I saw my players guessing things double dummies the hand of the tournament. That's a Capcom was in six hearts. He took the only winning line on the actual layout of the hand and you know, there was actually a little bit of excitement the other table too the queen third that I've had to fly up equated diets to give their Partners fake. There are double-double both tables on this board.
It was awesome. We have Andrew and Richard who? Yeah, Richard is 12. He's the youngest participant here.
He's now into the gold or silver. I mean it can't get better. USA one has now guaranteed themselves their first ever medal in the youngster series. They'll face Poland who resoundingly defeated the French in the other semifinal.
Okay, good morning. Ladies and gentlemen, you have two hours 20 minutes to complete 16 volts. Good luck. The finals will take place over two days.
in five 16 board segments for a total of 80 deals Poland comes out of the gate strong. No, definitely not all set. Definitely not all set. Okay.
Thank you at the end of the first segment Poland leads 61 to 8. with their most experienced pairs playing USA 1 wins the second set by 11 amps, but they fail to gain any serious ground on their opening deficit challenge for us. Definitely underdogs at this point down 45 or whatever it is. So You know we play well, we have a chance.
We've got an explosive team. So, let's see. You know, they're gonna feel pressure. I mean, you know, they know what's at stake here.
They know that you know, they're playing for a gold medal here A world championship. I mean, there's not that many opportunities to do something like that in a lifetime. So, you know, there's there's nothing I can do to take away from you know them feeling pressure USA one holds its own for the rest of the finals outscoring Poland by six imps over the last four segments of play. Plus 600 went plus 420 plus minus 128.
Sorry. Who's It's not enough to overcome their opening deficit. It was pretty big hole. We were in really couldn't have done that much more this set maybe a couple of things here down.
Coming in we're down big and we tried to chip away over these guys just too good, you know, even if we played perfectly it's still just couldn't make up enough. People believe it's still very happy with the results that we have, you know sacrifice is okay. Well USA 1 did not win a gold medal. These players have made a name for themselves in the bridge world.
What we need to have is we need to have a Resurgence of young people helping other young people get into the game. And that's really how something stays alive. You have to have a constant influx of people learning and supporting the game. In 30 years.
I want to have somebody to play bridge with I want to you know, I want to have as healthy or even better. If a population of bridge players who are active and enjoy the game. Patty's working her ass off. To try to save the game.
If you had to think of who's gonna be a world champion in 25 years the odds that the United States Champion will be someone from Atlanta are pretty strong. Bridge can give you connections. People that'll be friends for your entire life. It gives you an opportunity to travel.
