It's really... It's really... good to be back in this room. About four years ago I played a show here, and I remember being very, very nervous, and it was -- I think it was like, two months before the Grammys, and I was singing a lot, and I'd been playing really amazing shows, but coming back into a space like this was so, so special. And that show four years ago -- and I'm not just saying this -- it was one of my favorite shows I've ever done in my life.

I think there's a strength in owning your sadness, um, especially with the music, you know, me -- me putting it out there, especially as a man, I think putting my heart on the line and talking about my heartbreak and how emotional and sensitive I am, I think there's -- that's strong. And so I think it's the strength that hopefully people respond to. I've always had a massive issue with the way I look since I was a little kid, so, it's something that I've got to battle all the time, every day. And it was a really huge part of the making of this album, actually, because I lost a lot of weight, and I wasn't treating myself very well, wasn't treating my body very well, when I was writing the album. And the music, I feel like it's quite a dark album because of that, because I'm exploring, um... just -- just ways that I was harming myself. I was exploring that through the music. My aim with this album was to write something even more personal, and I think I did that. -When we went in to make the record, we kind of didn't really have, like, a clear narrative of what the record was. Um...but... During the time when we were making it, we were kind of, just, sporadically going in the studio to record songs, and we were just on the road so long and so often that, eventually, like, once we got, like, the first song or two, I was like, why are we trying to over-think this? Like, we should just be doing what we're doing, and that's playing live shows. And so, I just wanted every song that we put out there to be worthy of being able to be the encore. And whether it be, you know, this very tender, intimate kind of song, or this kind of grandiose production. Um, so that's kind of where, you know, the thought for the record came from, and that's how we tried to attack every song.
