"Gonna Keep Walkin'"
It hurts my feet to walk It hurts my teeth to talk But I'm gonna keep walkin', gonna keep talkin' Till I find my way back home to you It hurts my eyes to see And I don't like the color of things But I'm gonna keep seein' gonna keep believin' That one day my troubles all will end One day I'll lighten my load One day get off of this road One day gonna point your way And I'll sit right down and stay It hurts my ears to hear And it always brings a little tear But I'm gonna keep listenin' gonna keep fishin' For one day the truth to all be clear One day I'll lighten my load One day get off of this road One day gonna point your way And I'll sit right down and stay It hurts my brain to smile And you gotta be insane to try But I'm gonna keep smilin' gonna keep on tryin' Till I lay my tune down by and by

Thank you very much everybody. Hello, nice of all of y'all to come out. And I see we have some folks here from Darlington.
shouts from the audience
Back in the peanut gallery, back there. Well this next song is named after the street that we grew up on in Darlington. It's called the "Clay St. Rag."

Thank you very much. Well, I'm doing all songs from a new CD called "Magic Wind."

And this next song was the last song that I wrote for the album. It's called "She Liked The Wind." And after I wrote this, I noticed that I had four or five other songs that referenced the wind and referenced the same woman. And that's how this album came together. "She Liked The Wind." She liked the wind but I never did She liked the wind but I never did She'll forget but I never will I could stand the cold but she never could I could stand the cold but she never could She'll forgive but I never would I hope you say that I was kind I hope you say that I was kind I might not get out this time I'll wait for you like I always do I'll wait for you like I always do Long as sorrow I wait for you Now I stand like a tree on the plain I stand alone like a tree on the plain Wind never stops, like a promise made Wind never stops, whispers your name

While I was on a train to visit this girl at one point and I just felt like everything was right with the world. And I wrote this phrase down in my book.

"Ridin' A Magic Wind" I know the road is dark and lonely This time no one can say I'm wrong I feel the endless sky above me I float on angel wings of song I'm ridin' a magic wind, ridin' a magic wind Ridin' a magic wind, I'm ridin' a magic wind And all the times that I was leaving I knew that I'd come back somehow Through darkened shadows now I'm seeing No harm can ever find me now I'm ridin' a magic wind, ridin' a magic wind Ridin' a magic wind, I'm ridin' a magic wind Fast wing now take me straight and true Fast wing now take me straight to you I float through emerald skies of blue I know my song will see me through I'm ridin' a magic wind, ridin' a magic wind Ridin' a magic wind, I'm ridin' a magic wind Ridin' a magic wind, ridin' a magic wind Ridin' a magic wind, I'm ridin' a magic wind Ridin' a magic wind, ridin' a magic wind Ridin' a magic wind, I'm ridin' a magic wind

I'm going to switch guitars now and pick up the Resonator. Somebody called it a "tin can" just a little while ago.

But as a beautiful, old instrument, National Steel, it actually is made out of steel. 1934, this guitar was made.

And there's a couple songs on the album that have an old time feel and this is one of them.

Called "No Heat In The Van." No heat in the van and I'm runnin' on fumes Been a hundred miles since I thought about you I'm movin' I keep movin' on Pushin' ahead I keep movin' down the road Well, bridge fallin' down up around the bend Ain't had no good lovin' since I don't know when But I'm movin' I keep movin' on Pushin' ahead I keep movin' down the road Well I push the van up to sixty-five I should be happy I'm still alive And I'm movin' I keep movin' on Pushin' ahead I keep movin' down the road Flyin' high just a rowdy and handsome I'm still smilin' I'm still dancin' I'm movin' I keep movin' on Pushin' ahead I keep movin' down the road No heat in the van but I'm singin' some tunes Been a hundred miles since I thought about you I'm movin' I keep movin' on Pushin' ahead I keep movin' down the road Yeah, pushin' ahead I keep movin' down the road

This song is called "Things 'Gone Take Care of Themselves." I ain't so worried, I ain't so troubled Now my mind don't seem so muddled Ain't gonna worry 'bout no loose ends Things 'gone take care of themselves This time around I'll speak the truth Anyway got nothin' to lose I'll be happy, time will tell Things 'gone take care of themselves On my own, me alone Gonna let the river flow And I'll try to live a clean life Not get so lonesome on my mind I'll find a place, look around Gonna be happy, any day above ground Ain't gonna worry 'bout no loose ends Things 'gone take care of themselves On my own, me alone Gonna let the river flow And I'll try to live a clean life Now I guess I'm lonesome on my mind I find the place, look around Gonna be happy any day above ground Ain't gonna worry for no loose end Things gonna take care of themselves, I know Things gonna take care of themselves, I said Things gonna take care of themselves, I mean Things gonna take care of themselves Thank you.

This guitar I call "The Beast." It's 1959 Gibson. I bought it from an old fella in Colorado. Said he played dirty, cowboy songs on it.

And he did all this damage so I can just imagine what those songs are like.

"I Miss You"
Every drawer is full, every door is stuck Every closet's crammed with too much stuff All the bills are paid, car's runnin' too There's a hole in my heart you can drive a truck through I miss you I miss you I miss you At night I pretend to hold you close But like a dream, it comes and goes I ask again and I wonder where Always seems to be my cross to bear I miss you I miss you I miss you Every drawer is full, every door is stuck Every closet's crammed with too much stuff All the bills are paid, car's runnin' too There's a hole in my heart you can drive a truck through I miss you I miss you I miss you I miss you I miss you Miss you

This is called "Visit Your Heart." There was a time when I had no fear Climb any mountain just to be near But now we're close and I'm on my knees Somethin' make me tremble like a leaf on the breeze What does it take to visit your heart I'd treat it with care like a national park I won't stay long like a passing star What does it take to visit your heart I know that love wasn't always kind We'll go slow, not so hurried this time A long forgotten wind still calls to me And there's only one place that I want to be Like a river that always flows Been on the move called nowhere home Seen the Taj Mahal, crossed the River Nile But you say the words that always make me smile What does it take to visit your heart I'd treat it with care like a national park I won't stay long like a passing star What does it take to visit your heart What does it take to visit your heart I'd treat it with care like a national park I won't stay long like a passing star What does it take to visit your heart

This song is called "One Door Closes, Another One Opens." You left and now what will I do There must be more that's not showin' I can't begin to see what lies ahead So I keep tellin' myself One door closes, another one opens There's got to be love ahead One door closes, another one opens That's what I'm telling myself Did our love fail, fall by the side From the words that were not spoken Is it over now, I hang onto a thread And I keep telling myself One door closes, another one opens There's got to be love ahead One door closes, another one opens That's what I'm telling myself I can't hear you now, you're too far away It seems our love line is broken I don't believe the words inside my head But I keep telling myself One door closes, another one opens There's got to be love ahead One door closes, another one opens That's what I'm telling myself

I hope it leaves everybody with a good message. Called "Any Wind Can Blow." Mistakes will be made, love lost too With luck, a new heart will grow Hang on to your corner of dreams Any wind can blow Any wind Any wind Any wind can blow Hang on to your corner of dreams Any wind can blow Looking for answers with no road maps You will know when you know Don't lose your ears for the stories of hope Any wind can blow Any wind Any wind Any wind can blow Don't lose your ears for the stories of hope Any wind can blow Thank you everybody.
