For more than 150 years, Catholics around Green Bay heard the story of the Belgian immigrant Adele Brise's visions of the Virgin Mary and have believed in the shrine's curative powers. After two years of study, the Diocese of Green Bay has officially declared the apparitions to be worthy of belief, making the shrine the only location in the U.S. to have that distinction and one of only a dozen or so worldwide.  In Wisconsin's Patty Loew features the Pottawatomie Lighthouse in Door County. The Friends of Rock Island group has turned the rundown lighthouse into a destination. Every summer volunteers live in the lighthouse for a week. In exchange for the free bed and breakfast, they provide tours and a history lesson about Wisconsin's oldest lighthouse. April is Nation Poetry Month and In Wisconsin honors the tradition by introducing viewers to Wisconsin's newest Poet Laureate Bruce Dethlefsen. The Westfield resident — a retired teacher, coach and librarian — began his new post January 1 after an appointment by former Wisconsin Gov. Jim Doyle.The In Wisconsin series, "Poems about Places," honors poets by combining the talents of a word artist with those of a visual artist. This week, Wisconsin poet Bianca Spriggs and WPT Videographer Wendy Woodard collaborate their talents on a visit to Peter Sciortino's Bakery in Milwaukee. This program's video postcard features a springtime walk through Cherokee Marsh, Dane County's largest wetland.
