At 10 p.m. Tuesday, July 3, Director's Cut interviews Timm Gable producer of the film "It's Happiness: A Polka Documentary." The film takes a delightful look at elders who defy aging with their enjoyment and dedication to polka dancing and their mission to keep polka alive for the younger generation. A presentation of the film follows at 10:30 p.m. At 9 p.m. Friday, July 6, meet filmmakers Deborah and Bradley Carr and see their film "FEAT: 63 Marathons in 63 Days," which follows one man's quest to run for kids battling the disease Ataxia-Telengiectasia. At 9 p.m. Friday, July 13 on Director's Cut, Sabine Gruffat talks about her film "I Have Always Been a Dreamer." Then view the film, which paints a portrait of two cities in contrasting states of development, Dubai and Detroit. At 9:30 p.m. Friday, July 20, the film "Nerdcore for Life," directed by Dan Lamoureux, looks at a collision of Hip Hop and Greek-chic culture as well as some of the coolest nerds around. At 9 p.m. Friday, July 27, Monroe-Kane interviews Nicholas Langholff and Darren Burrows about the Driftless Film Festival, the southwestern Wisconsin regional film festival that brings independent films from around the world to historic theatres in the Driftless Area. Immediately following, WPT will air "Lovely By Surprise," a stunning offbeat film featured at the festival in which a writer attempting to finish her first novel seeks the wisdom of her mentor and ex-lover in hopes of overcoming a case of writer's block.
