WPT Reports Annual Auction Generated More Than $260,000

The WPT Auction raised more than $260,000 to help fund WPT's quality programming, outreach projects and events that serve to enrich the entire Wisconsin community. "We are grateful to the many individuals and businesses throughout the state who help make the WPT Auction possible," said WPT Auction Manager Ben White. "The success of the event depends on the involvement of numerous volunteers, donors, artists and underwriters, and the viewers who bid in support of public broadcasting."  The WPT Auction is sponsored by Friends of WPT, the nonprofit fundraising arm for WPT. WPT is a service of the Educational Communications Board and University of Wisconsin-Extension. Wisconsin Public Television is a place to grow through learning on WHA-TV, Madison; WPNE-TV, Green Bay; WHRM-TV, Wausau; WLEF-TV, Park Falls; WHLA-TV, La Crosse; and WHWC-TV, Menomonie-Eau Claire.
